The floating harry head loading icon gives me nightmares.

“Not me, not hermione… SCABBERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

definitely one of the more fleshed out and thoroughly enjoyable LEGO titles, it was nice to revisit a film franchise I didn’t think I was particularly nostalgic of but this certainly made me want to sit and watch the respective films so it did the job!

Replaying again and I still think that this lego is still a little weak to be Harry Potter, despite being fun.

I didn't even feel much difference in this remaster huh.

Um dos jogos de Lego mais divertidos.Quem precisa de Hogwarts Legacy quando tem esse aqui?

It's probably one of the better LEGO games in my opinion.

The Harry Potter aesthetic is fun, and it's still early enough on that the character's mumble instead of talk. The gameplay is simplistic and intuitive which makes it easy to pick up and play.

But I do suppose there is only so high you can rate a game like this.

Another lego game with the expected parts to a lego game. I felt that the story was a bit rushed even for a lego game and the levels seemed to be in weird spots in the stories, as well as just being pretty short. It was cool that you could walk around Hogwarts in between levels to explore and learn spells and stuff like that, but it just made the game feel a bit more tedious and padded for content than other games since I felt like the Leaky Cauldron was already the hub world. I believe there are better lego games out there.

Probably the most annoying video game I've ever played. 24 levels is too much for a LEGO game. No character ever talks, they just make Minecraft villagers noises which gets annoying quick. Not a minute goes by where you don't hear some rendition of the Harry Potter theme. To switch characters, you have to go to a cauldron instead of just opening a menu and choosing that way. No, that would be too convenient and accessible to the player. We want this to be as long and tedious as possible.

Unlocking stuff is tedious. To unlock a red brick, you need to do a specific quest, take the red block to an owl, watch a little animation, return to the leaky cauldron, walk down diagon alley, enter the shop, walk up the stairs and then I can finally buy the red brick. Rinse and repeat twenty times. Who the fuck wants to go through all that. How about this? You do the quest, unlock the red block and you can just instantly buy it in the extras menu. There, I just saved you a whole day of your life.

In summary, this has been one of the most torturous gaming experiences I have gone through. Only reason I didn't quit two minutes in is because this is a pretty simple and easy platinum trophy.

One positive that saves this from being half a star is the acquiring of new spells. I thought that was pretty neat. For once, a LEGO game with actual progression.

Well, it's a Lego game with Harry Potter so there's nothing new here, it has all the strengths and weakness found in most Lego games. Most of the flaws are in co-op where it's clear the game was just not designed for that. Otherwise I found it overall enjoyable, and worth playing it with my fiance despite it's flaws. I should also state it's based off the films, just for the book puritans.
