Really fun rhythm game that mixes touch screen and traditional buttons. Fun music selection, especially the section dedicated to sega where 90% of it is Sonic music, but boy is it a great selection of songs.

Played this the other day with friends and while we were fucking around looking at all the funny songs and not figuring out how to change the difficulty a guy came over and was miming the inputs behind one of us and we let him have the machine and then he obliterated us at it very politely

Maimai actually dodges a lot of the touchscreen hangups, but I never really found myself coming back to play this regularly. It's fun and boasts a pretty large song library as well as a ton of depth of gameplay.

The maimai library wasn't very good before finale. The controller is one of the most absurd inventions of modern gaming and while I'm in love with it, the charting of this game at this point doesn't guide you to the higher difficulty very well. It seems they've figured this out with the new mid screen tap notes but I don't even have regular access to Finale.
