I'd stay up until 5 in the morning playing yhis game it's so much fun. I'm heavily interested in the professional community of this game (yes that exists)
The roster is fucking nuts actually it makes my mitubh water to look at. King K Rool in a Mario game is such a stranfe sight.
The gameplay is so much fun and I'll die if they ever majke another installment in this very small series

Another gem in the golden age of Mario sports games. These days it's hard to find one with an enjoyable single-player mode, but Challenge Mode is super solid here. It's not perfect, but it does a good job of teaching the game's mechanics and has some neat little puzzles. It's a lot of fun to build your roster as you go, but the game mode's biggest weakness is the lack of longer games. There need to be some games that are at least 3 innings before you get to the final game. With how the challenges are, you don't really get to play with your team very much. Outside of challenge mode, Super Sluggers is probably the best Mario sports game to play with a friend. The team selection is perfect and is reminiscent of playing a game with your friends as a child, trading off taking one player at a time. I would have easily given this game at least 4 stars if it weren't for the fact that you can't use a GameCube controller. Motion controls are the absolute worst, and I feel like I get elbow tendinitis playing this game. It feels like a small thing, but it is a major knock for me. Nonetheless, this game is great. A new Mario baseball game is at the top of my list for games I want, though I doubt it will recapture the magic of the first two.
For a lot of people this is just "the one game that K Rool appeared in when he wasn't in anything else", but for me it was always a game that I really loved as a kid. Fun baseball game and the story mode exploration was fun too. It felt really cool unlocking the secret "maps" and trying to get all the characters and 100% all the other content.
I forgot that Mario sports games can be good. Mario Super Sluggers is an incredibly well crafted baseball game with tons of replayability and depth leading to a well rounded game with small issues.
To start with praises, I love how good Baseball feels to play in this game. Mario sports games are supposed to add whacky fun to normal sports and it's no different here. Both fielding and batting feel great and the addition of motion controls kinda work for me. There's a ton of the depth to this game with pitching and fielding that can completely change in the game if you know what your doing which I love. And I love how big the character roster is.
However, the story mode is a bit of a let down. It's a point and click adventure that just teaches you the mechanics of the game which is kinda lame. And unfortunately the CPU's aren't as well balanced as I wish they could be.
Overall, a great sports game that works both in single player and multiplayer that is only bogged down by a lackluster story mode. A - tier.
