I've seen a lot of people talk about this game and how crazy of a port it is, but I had never heard anyone mention that you can make camos out of pictures on your 3ds.

I made snake wear the roku menu

idk why i played on 3ds but i dont regret it

they could never make me hate you 3DS port of snake eater

You can beat the shit out of russians while in a rainbow camo

Comencé, y entendí que este sería un título completamente diferente a todo hasta ese día de mi vida

A great game ported to a system with terrible performance and controls. Somehow finished a Foxhound playthrough.

I wish I could say my first experience with MGS was something a little less handheld, but all the same, this game did the trick. I don't think I've fallen in love with a game, and in effect a series, as quickly as I did with Metal Gear Solid 3. It is impossible for me to put words towards my experience with this game other than it is now an integral part of my soul, along with the series in general. Yes the port is poor compared to any other available version, having a bad framerate and low resolution, but holy shit man. I love Metal Gear so much I can ignore all of that. Arigato... Kojima-sama... arigato...

"no one played this game on 3ds" I DID!!!! and it was terrible as someone who played the original ps2 version. RIP snake vs monkey

konami really said
"what if we took one of the best games of all time, made it even better and then released exclusively it on a console that can't even run it at more than 20 frames a second"

i won't lie it's amazing to even see this game running on a 3DS but it's just hard to play at times, at least that gets compensated by the fact that they peace walker-fied it and added crouch walk and 3rd person aiming so it's equally more comfy and less comfy to play

This game had crouch walking. CROUCH WALKING!!!!

i played this demo relentlessly

Tried playing it on the original 3DS, just could not get into it

For a 3DS port of a PS2 game, this is actually pretty good. The controls are pretty easy to get used to, and the ability to crouch walk is very nice. The inclusion of Yoshi as a collectible was a cute touch. Nothing really seems lost from this version, either. The graphics are compromised, but that's to be expected from one of the best looking games from the PS2. Solid experience, that will be mostly lost to time over the years, unfortunately.

The controls absolutely suck (I loathe "the buttons move the camera" controls) and the framerate blows but it was how I first played this masterpiece so I'm giving it a 5/5.

Surprisingly excellent port. This is the only version of MGS3 that tracks which titles you've collected for beating the game, which is fun. Also the first version of MGS3 I completed somehow.

Interesting experiment. It's fascinating that some PS2 games like this one, Tales of Abyss and Dragon Quest VIII were remade for the occasion.

Play this just to check how spectacular it can be in 3D. For the rest stick with the HD Remaster (the PS360 version that is also avaiable with the recent Master Collection also separately) and have a proper nicer frame-rate.

On an actual 3ds, in first person, you get stereoscopic 3D.
After Naked Snake loses his eye, you no longer get stereoscopic 3D in first person, because Snake himself no longer has 2 eyes with which to see in 3D and perceive depth like the 3DS screen.
Great port. Genuinely amazing port quality for that alone. Totally unnecessary but lore accurate addition that immerses the player by surprise.

The game was played on hacked 2DS. I own the Japanese version, and since I don't understand the language, I decided to pirate English version (thank Nintendo for closing eShop).
This is my first MGS3 experience, since I didn't own PS2/PS3 version back then.
I tried not to use crouch-walk, cause I wanted more "original" experience. I still used sidestep. The story is much more simple than story of MG1-S2, having almost no twists. I really liked the characters, especially The Boss and Ocelot. The bosses are much less brutal on Normal. Every one of them requires unique approach. I also really liked Camo-Index mechanic, allowing player to change camouflage for new surroundings. I didn't really like Stamina, when it drops low it makes aiming awfully hard. Locations are beautiful. Even the starting ones like Рассвет.
This is definitely good way to play MGS3, even though the framerate is unstable. I think, that this version has many quality-of-life improvements, like the ablity to move, when having sniper rifle equipped. Original MGS3 is much more smooth, though.

J'ai refait le jeu 8 fois en pensant que je finirais par tomber sur une balle à la roulette russe de l'épilogue. Pas futé le gamin

Queda de FPS e os controles dificultam muito a experiência.

An extremely impressive 3ds port and very fun game. While it is a little awkward at first using the 3ds nub to aim, it eventually becomes second nature, and you can enjoy the metal gear solid 3 experience to its fullest. The game does have plenty of great stealth levels and game-play, however i personally felt it to be a little dull compared to other metal gear games, but still fun. I also felt the story was quite lackluster up until the very end of the game, and I didn't love any of the supporting characters, aside from ocelot. It's still a good game that i would recommend.

Okey, funciona, se ve peor que en ps2 pero hey corre

First time experiencing this masterpiece, didn't mind the controls.

Não é o melhor port que existe. Mas é Metal Gear Solid 3, um dos melhores jogos de todos os tempos.
