4☆ - Not as memorable as the original, but still a neat extension of the original game.

crazy tedious alotta cool monster designs and songs tho

The prequel to my singing monsters that features the same monsters and even more unique songs. The feeding mechanic is kind of tedious as all your food is done really quickly. Either you play alot in short spurts or you dont progress as quickly.

not as good as the original unfortunately

MSM: Dawn of fire is a decent game that could be great if it weren't for its awful and tedious feeding mechanic. The songs are amazing, some of the best in the franchise. The baby monsters are so cute! But the way you level up your monsters is so tedious, you could spend a day gathering materials so craft a toy car for example (just an example toy cars are not hard to make) then if barley levels up your monster. Another thing is prismatics, they have awesome designs and the prisim gate is a cool mechanic. But because the leveling on monsters is so hard, it could take you years to complete an island, not even including prismatics, which don't even all fit on your islands. There are 6 prismatic versions of each monster, imagine how ridiculous it will be to get the inevitable quint monster on cave island (the island were your max level monsters go to). My rating could go up one day if they ever decide to buff the feeding mechanics.

i have never been more disappointed. as a major my singing monsters fan, this game enraged me. having to constantly make materials, foods, and everything else felt like a chore, constantly having to check back in the game, just to give a monster slight exp only for it to not matter, because the levels needed to advance a monster to another island were insanely high and the exp rates were so slow. some of the songs were cool though i like cloud island
