interesting, quite interesting. but it didn't quite hit the same way as the first one- and honestly, i don't know if making a prequel was a good move here. it doesn't quite sit right.

"No final, eu seria capaz de sorrir?"

bem bonito o passado de Setsumi, e explica bastante coisa do primeiro jogo

On its own, it might be a better story than the first. But it insists on connecting itself to the first game in a way that transforms the story into one about the mythology of the 7th Floor. And that location is far less interesting than the characters who inhabit it.
It's also becomes about how God is cruel, which is a plot thread I hope the sequels run with.

In 1999, out of the world's 1 billion Catholics, one disappeared.

Reflections on following the Merciful Spirit.

Like its predecessor its world is almost too simple, the same few people are found in the same few locations that seem almost improbable; lending it a sort of fairy tale or children's book feel that sits weirdly alongside the really specific questions it wants to ask. Still it accomplishes its goal; while I really liked how understated the previous game was — its ending hit harder — I prefer the questions here. I guess I'm a sucker for anything Christian.

The better Visual Novel out of the two, and my second favorite in the franchise so far. (Behind Narcissu Zero.)

tragically beautiful. i liked the themes. also probably a 7 out of 10
