Probably the worst 5 I'll ever give but this game has too much nostalgia in my heart to properly rate. Perfect soundtrack, park and pro-am with my irls, rebuilding terrible teams in my league. Did I mention the perfect soundtrack? Outstanding, Zipper, NoEyeInTeam, Sauce It Up, Stir Fry and of course all of the Travis Scott tracks. GOD this game gives me nostalgia levels on the same level as Minecraft when I was a kid.
Probably objectively the most mid to above average 2k in the last 5 years but still I love it and have too many good memories to rate this objectively. Sorry

Very similar game to NBA 2K18, but a much better package overall with skippable cutscnes, better character customization, and much, much improved AI. Probably the game NBA 2K18 should have been, but I'll still take this.
They added some unskippable ads randomly in its life cycle which was strange and disappointing, but, if I'm honest, didn't bother me that much.
The cap space (MyGM/MyLeague) situation in this game and the next one were very problematic. On the default settings, after 3 or 4 years, every team would be maxed out in cap space and top tier players would be left out to dry because no one had money to sign them. That really sucked and wasn't fixed in the next game.
Very, very fun game though.
