Yes, the new avatars are weird. Yes, it's thin on content. Yes, the motion controls are weirdly hit-and-miss. No, it isn't worth $40, let alone $50. Yes, they probably should have just rereleased Resort with extra features. That is not why my heart aches. Nintendo's sin is in not letting me throw the bowling ball backwards and making the people behind me do a funny little spin, and mark me: There will be a reckoning.
Nintendo Switch Sports is a fun game which utilizes motion controls to help you play the sports it has to offer within Spocco Square.
This game is fun to play with family and online and there are a range of different sports to choose from;
Golf: Lots of holes to refine your skills on.
Football: Fun team game with good use of leg motion control option.
Volleyball: Try and get your timing right as you partake in a range of different moves.
Bowling: Refine your own style of bowl and get as many strikes as you can.
Tennis: Two-player tennis as you try to perfect your swing and outsmart your opponent.
Badminton: Fast paced controller swinging makes for a very fun mode.
Chambara: Swordfighting with 3 different swordplay styles as you block, strike and charge your opponent off of the platform.
Overall, Nintendo Switch Sports is a quality game with a range of different sports to try with friends and family.

The underlying issue is that it tried to remake Wii Sports but ended up less fun than the original. The controls felt off and/or oversimplified for most sports, just relying on an inaccurate swing motion. Even the level-up system is worse than the original's skill pts because winning/losing hardly affects it. Overall a weak entry for a Nintendo party game.
this game has so many issues, first the sports selection, not enough sports, and of the 7 sports 2 are really really bad: football and volley. 2 are really great but only playable 1v1: chambara and badminton. and the other 3 are classics.
then the characters are so ugly and theres basically zero customization. nintendo are really bastards for putting all the unlockables behind a pay wall that is the online, you have to understand, nintendo, that never in a million years i will pay for your bullshit online, the switch isnt made for online play its a family console to play with people physically with you in the same room. so everyone ends up playing with those lifeless avatars.
bowling is probably the best game to play with 4 people due to the fact that everyone plays at the same time. they could have used the same system as in mario golf for the golf where its the same thing and everyone plays together, other wise it gets boring quickly having to wait for your turn.
to make the game 4 stars they would need to remove those 2 bullshit sports that are volley and football and add classics from resort like kayak or basket ball, they could also add table tennis or other games but every games should be available to play 4 players. and also remove the customization being locked, but i guess even with character customization i will still use my mii.
