i wish i could just tell kieran about the ogre, this would have maybe softened the blow of his desperate desire to get stronger (or change the method of how he did it)

anyways. love the dlc, i love the characters, ogrepon is sooo cuteums. wiiiish wish wish it had more content in it tho

Igual no jogo base a historia legal e performance ruim. Mas pqp gamefreak o jogo já rodava mal e vcs conseguiram piorar

God dammit Gamefreak what the fuck is this

the story and characters were fine plus i adore ogrepon. it was exceptionally laggy...

introduces the best rival (maybe the best human character to the series) with like 200 extra monsters to catch, and a story that doesn't adhere to the formula that the main series does

Really frustrating how more or less unplayable this is due to lag. I felt the entire time like I was doing a chore I had to get over with.

Honestly this DLC stinks lol, the new area is cool and Kieran and Carmine are cool characters, but the story is kinda dumb and the new legendaries are also pretty lame. Except Ogrepon; Ogrepon is cute. 2 stars for Ogrepon

i fuck with this dlc. kitakami was cool to go through, i liked carmine and kieran here, and i love ogerpon sm

if scarlet and violet itself didnt run like wet paper towels then maybe i would've enjoyed it more but i still enjoyed it nonetheless.

Waited to say I finished this till I done the dex, little did I know I’d forget to ask for trades for 3 months.

It’s a lesser version of the base game. I liked carmine and ogerpon a lot though

I enjoyed this. Obviously not as good as the base game, and more graphical glitches (of course) but a nice short story. Way too short. I finished this in 2 nights assuming itd take me longer. Also, im a little miffed Nemona/Arven/Penny play 0 role in this at all whatsoever.

A largely unmemorable side-story is kept afloat by an incredibly cute mascot central to the narrative. Largely more of the same from base Scarlet/Violet:
- Large swathes of unremarkable land
- Broad narrative ideas that are batting above series average but still below par for the medium as a whole
- Good music with one or two genuinely great tracks
- Challenges & dialogue writing that are sure to remind you this series is targeted at children
- Very charming designs for the new 'mons

It's disappointing it ended with a whimper and "to be continued" featuring a character turn so deeply steeped in shonen trope stereotypes. I don't regret my time with it, partially because a few moments demonstrated some care & thought (the Bloodmoon Beast side-arc, I guess?), and mostly because I played it on The Neon Caster's channel. That being said, I don't know if I can honestly say it added anything to my life. Still tepidly excited for the next expansion, whose focus on competitive play & the doubles format might be more up my alley.

Actually a decent DLC. Doesn't add much new that wasn't already in the base game, but the new area, characters and story were fun to experience. A bit shorter and smaller overall than what I was expecting, but sets the tone for the second part of the DLC which looks promising so far. Kieran and Carmine have great character development for a Pokémon game, but it would've peaked if both ended up cutting their stupid fringe bangs.

Also how is anyone supposed to be scared of Ogerpon have you LOOKED AT HER

Lavagem de dinheiro desse jogo feio e ruim

A little too short to have any super hard opinions about it. The characters were annoying. Keiran was funny (derogatory). Didn't care at all about the legendaries. Even laggier than base game. The difficulty was welcome but also just a side effect of the fact that I built a completely new team from scratch out of Kitakami pokemon. Despite the wave of criticisms I had a passably fine time, probably because I played it on call with my girlfriend. It's at least better than Isle of Armor from SWSH because I could be bothered to finish this one and its dex.

One of the most character writing moments of all time

Very short, new area's kind of boring, the story is forgettable, and the new characters are annoying. The issues with the base game are still present and as bad as ever, and most of it is just mashing a through dialogue, but at least some of the new pokemon and battles are cool.
fuck you Charlie Kelly

Idk. It's alright. About the same quality as the base game, maybe a little better.

I got the pokemon scarlet + dlc pack for christmas and have been loving it. It's solidified my love for the game, but this dlc kinda didn't. Obviously the game still visually is a mess, even moreso in Kitakami than Paldea because of awful screen tearing. They fixed the most egregious bugs and the frame rate never dipped for me, but this is still in a pitiful state. On top of that, Kitakami is absolutely barren. They needed a few dozen more trainers in every area at least, because while the actual geometry of the area is interesting, there's barely anything to do in this cool map. Main story is good, I enjoyed it, but it's also very barebones. I dunno, I'm having fun exploring for the last few ogre clan trainers but this needs more stuff to do in it. I didn't play the SwSh dlc so I can't really compare it there but it feels more like a hoenn postgame than a johto postgame if ya feel me.

I got two random shinies on the day this came out and never touched it again till now.

NO LO JUGUE PERO NO PUEDO CREER QUE LES HAYA DADO LA CARA PARA HACERLE UN DLC PAGO A ESTA PORONGA AHSJFCHSADJFDSH EX EMPRESA

If the game's performance wasn't horrendous, Scarlet would continue to be my favorite Pokemon game. Ogerpon is adorable and the story was wonderful.

So incredibly mediocre. A very short campaign with a predictable story without very entertaining writing. Caught a shiny Furret though so that's pretty cool.

The Teal Mask was both a really fun time and a peek behind the curtain at what some Pokémon fans complain about, at least for me. I'm going to say this right out of the gate. If you liked Scarlet and Violet, you'll like this. If you don't, this won't change much. I already talked about the main game and you can click there if you want my thoughts on Pokémon Scarlet.

When you get to Kitakami, you'll probably immediately realize that the gameplay is the exact same. The areas are still largely uninteresting and open, not giving the player many locations to marvel at outside of maybe one or two places. This area is much smaller than Paldea proper, so there's even less room to find interesting locations. There are way more returning Pokémon than new ones, and the new ones are fine. One of them stands out as amazing, but this is only within the context of the story. Otherwise, that Pokémon was not as memorable as I assumed it would be.

The story was the biggest new thing on offer, and it was sadly a coin toss for me. On one hand, I liked it. On the other, I finally understood why people hate the stories in Pokémon because I really hated some of the writing choices made here. The characters in it feel like they're being sent down a linear path and you can't really influence anything. The worst part about the writing in this is how much potential there could have been, especially with how they could paint your character in a negative light, but this is Pokémon. They won't ever do that.

This first part will NOT take you long to complete. In fact, outside of three exceptions, I practically completed the Pokédex by just going through the land and catching. This may sound like what you'd do normally, but there was no cleanup. This is mostly easier than the main game and that's saying a fair amount.

Honestly, this feels like a rushed product to build hype for the seemingly more exciting second part. I did 100% complete this one too, but this didn't feel like nearly as much of a "give me my trophy" moment. It felt more like they gave me a participation trophy. I had a good time with this though! My complaints are all real, but that didn't stop me from enjoying myself.

Honestly didn't expect this to be good, but I went in with an open mind. Surprisingly, it was good!

Still has issues the base game had like horrible graphics and performance. The combat also still feels clunky and slow although I feel that's inevitable for any pokemon release unless they want to completely revamp it like Legends Arceus, and they should.

The story is short and sweet. It has a pretty neat concept and nothing overstays its welcome. I feel like it's kind carried by its concept though rather than the writing, although that's a problem with literally every single pokemon game. It kinda pisses me off that our self insert character ends up lying to the poor kid though because I didn't choose to lie. Its so odd when games make a blank MC but then have them make decisions against the players will. Devs should pick a lane and stay in it.

I played the game on my copy of Scarlet and for a few of my party members I used my team from Violet because all of my Scarlet team was too high level. I also threw on an Iron Jugulis that it natively caught in Scarlet because I was messing around with union circles. I found the pokemon selection to be pretty neat, although pretty underpowered? Too many shitmons like Ariados and Mightyena all over the whole map. I added a Kommo-o, Ribombee, and Dipplin to my team, and although they were neat im kinda just walking away with Ogerpon and Dipplin.

The music was great as always. Pokemon is kinda like Sonic in the way that no matter what the OST is good. Kierans battle theme was a highlight. Sometimes the OST wouldn't exactly fit the tone though? Like when the loyal three was revived it played this kinda funky song instead of something more alarming or sinister. Maybe im just nitpicking. I found all the area themes to be quite nice, with the main town theme being a great highlight.

I had a lot more to say about this than I expected. I feel like I just kinda wrote down a stream of conciseness and complained for most of it. I honestly had fun though! I'm actually excited for the Indigo Disc.

Took me months to finish this cuz I didnt feel like finishing the last bit of it but finally done in time for the next DLC. It's fine. I had a lot of fun making a new team for this with the new encounters but I think it's mostly bogged down by the lack of much new. Maybe I'm being unreasonable but it feels weird seeing this much Mightyena in as long as this is.

Ogerpon is incredibly cute, and I love her wholely. With that out of the way, this is a pretty adequate expansion to Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. It doesn't fix any of the issues, but it also doesn't add anything to it either. If you liked the original game then this is a perfectly fine addition to that game.

With this DLC you get a new storyline to experience, approximately 200 returning Pokemon and a handful of new ones, and an entirely new area to explore. The graphical aspects of this DLC are at the same level as the original title, which is to say it's still quite ugly and runs poorly. The story is pretty good, I liked the 3 new characters and the leading Pokemon Ogerpon is incredibly likable.

While it was enjoyable, it was shorter than expected. That isn't a bad thing as this is the first part of the story, but I was expecting a bit more content here. It is still perfectly acceptable though, and I would recommend it to people who liked the initial game.

Nearly on par with the original game, meaning that the graphics are awful and lag is very common. Nevertheless, I like the newly introduced pokemon in this DLC, especially Ogrepon. Additionally, they added my favorite pokemon Swadloon in a Switch Pokemon game for once, so instant 10/10 for that.

Definitely has more value over the first part of the DLC for Sword and Shield. In fact, there's quite a lot amount of content this time around, so don't hesitate to pick this up.
