Fun and exciting to explore, this really saved generation 8 for me as the base games im not to fond of in reality. This served as a staple for the dlc format to come and im glad we can get extra content like this without a new game. The dlc itself is fun but minimal in the plot department.

First DLC bad, Dynamax Raid Adventures are cool tho

With the Expansion Pass, it's an EASY 3.5/5 but without it, it's a 2 at best. This is where the franchise seriously started to take a dip in quality.

Probably the worst story to date in a Pokemon game with one of the worst mechanics, Dynamaxing. Also the Wild Area is boring.

The Crowned Tundra and Isle of Armor fix all of that though. They're both full open areas with tons of stuff to discover so I def recommend picking them up if you want a full fun game.

NOW THE DLC, this DLC kind of sucks, like ok open world areas to run around with your Pokémon ok interesting but In the execution pretty boring and won't be done well till a generation later, and the legendary mons, you mean to tell me, you have an ISLE OF ARMOR In the generation with SWORD and SHIELD wolves and Instead of the legendary being a proper third legendary to this trio In a armor based wolf we get a KUNG FU BEAR, bite me. and the crown tundra, what ABOUT you, the new reigis? Cool I like them, but the legendarys trying SO HARD to capture the white kyrum and black kyrum hype a SECOND TIME and failing, awful, and the only new base Pokémon are... slowpokes... overall disappointing venture for Pokémon's first DLC :3

Oh hey they made Sword and Shield above average now

Isle of armor-3
Crown tundra-4
Good but an amoeba to mediocrity and sharing a bad engine.

kind of funny Still pissedme off

if these weren't $30 I would say these are absolutely mandatory for the average Pokemon fan to get the most out of Sword and Shield not just content wise but enjoyability wise too.

still need to finish Crown Tundra tho

If you enjoyed the disaster that was the Wild Area in Sw/Sh you are in for a good time. Otherwise, these areas are completely forgetable.

isle of armor is pretty okay but crown tundra slaps

better than the base game; not an accomplishment. i did not pay for this game

better! i sure hope they focus on making a dense and interesting open world that runs well............................

it ok but the price is a little high. Passable but not by much.

Def a step up from the main game, had some actual challenge this time around, as well as doing more with the wild area mechanics.

Much better than base game, but all in all, it is indeed just Pokémon Sword but good.
