Excellent coop game with easy to pick up controls and variety of ways to strategize and play around character abilities. Although would recommend playing on PC or any other platform despite being a 2D game. Experienced multiple slowdowns and drops in framerates (max 30 fps sadly) on the switch. Even experienced crashes 1 or 2 times but fortunately didn't destroy the run. The new updates have not arrived on the switch yet so still waiting to achieve the true ending.
Fine little roguelite to play with a pal.
Mechanics are deep enough and it's visually very polished, but the gameplay variety just isn't there unlike Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon.
I do like how useful most of the items are. Getting your hands on something new is usually a gamechanger.
The friendly fire with the paddle can get annoying though, and the laser stuns are obnoxiously long.
P.S. There's probably a hidden boss/area behind the locked door at the top of the hub, but me and my friend just skipped through the dialogue. Guess we'll have to wait for someone on YouTube to figure it out.
