Reviews from

in the past

havent played it since its release its funny seeing the other reviews because i loved this when i was younger

Its so bad. Bad physics, bad premise, bad clunky interfaces. Water looks great, everything else just looks like Unity Store asset flips

Subnautica does this entire game a million times better. Going in the "Waste of Money" category of my Steam library

Playing with a friend doesn't make this any more fun. Came in with little expectations and it didn't meet them

Dont play this play the forest instead

graphics are an eye strain, survival elements are pretty ok, but it lacks creativity, cloying gameplay. When multiplayer works it is quirky and broken but still welcome feature for when it works.

i like when games are atleast a bit atmospheric but Stranded Deep just makes you feels like you are playing a, to the cheaper side, game all the time, with meh music and a kind off boring sense of exploration.

i remember watching jacksepticeye play this ages ago and i really wanted to play it myself, so i bought it with a steam gift card, but the only computer i had access to was my grandmother's "all in one lenovo pc" that could barely run like, any game. i got really upset that i couldn't play this cool ocean survival game until i got a proper gaming pc of my own 5 years later, and goddammit this just isn't the forest.

Almost can’t believe how bad this game is

Um jogo que não tenho muito o que dizer, está sendo divertido porque estou jogando com meu amigo, mas jamais jogaria sozinho, não tem nada de especial, é apenas um survival comum.

It's that typical grindy pioneer fantasy about working your way up the tech tree from a chipped stone axe to a helicopter with only your bare hands and your wits. Provides a kind of brain-cooling outlet for a bit but there's not enough there that's intriguing or suggests fun projects I could look forward to that would make me want to keep exploring.

I don't get the hate I kinda enjoyed it! The only thing I hated was the inventory system.

You know these games that you see a trailer of and you say OH SH!T I NEED TO PLAY THIS ONE! and then you see it on sale one day and you think great, island, survival, build stuff, awesome.. and then you buy it and you see the outdated graphics and you don't like the menu, the gameplay and pretty much everything about it.

Yeah.. one of those times.

Ridiculously glitchy, and borderline unplayable BUT it is quite fun in Co-op when it works which it does like 40% of the time. Made by 2 people in my hometown though which is cool.

fun with a friend for a few hours, but has some buggy moments and lackluster content compared to a lot of other survival games.

Buggy mess, but fun with a friend

DO NOT PLAY, THIS GAME HAS BEEN ABANDONED!!! Seriously, even multiplayer doesn't save this mess of a game.

One star for every day I survived.

Perhaps one of the worst games I've ever played.

Not fun really. The visuals are nothing to write home about and the survival part is not enjoyable. I stepped on the no-no starfish then died to sunburn. I always like the ocean but man this game just doesn't work well enough with it.

this game is soooooo fucking boring dude

Gave it a shot as the new PS plus game of the month. It's janky as hell and feels unfinished. Played for about 1.5 hours, saving throughout, eventually got killed by a boar that was somehow impervious to ax wounds. Went to load my save and found myself back at the very start. Don't know if I just got unlucky with some kind of data loss glitch right out of the gate or if the save function is legitimately broken. Not interested in playing again to find out.
