Hot Take: Bowser's Fury has better gameplay than Odyssey. 3D World is still pretty decent.

Two games in one - Super Mario 3D World works well as a single player and multiplayer game, while Bowser's Fury is a nice little miniature open world experiment. I wish Bowser's Fury were sold as a standalone, but this is a nice package.

This has got to be the best port on the switch. Being able to do the multiplayer online singlehandedly improves the game massively, and they also sped up the gameplay itself and added in the dive from odyssey. Overall way more satisfying to play than the original. Bowsers fury is a nice bonus to throw in.

I'm going to review each of these games separately, with 3d world at the top and main rating, and bowsers fury with it's own personal ranking at the bottom.

Super mario 3d world is a great 3d mario game with some very fun and interesting levels. Each level was well designed, with the Cat power ups being pretty fun. The main story is the same bowser does something, ( I honestly forgot what ), and you have to stop him. Overall, a pretty simple 3d platformer mario game, but one that was super fun.

Bowsers fury is a short and sweet game, that left me wanting more.

After the high that Mario odyssey left me with, I didn't think any Mario game could be as good. But when i picked bowsers fury up, it was just what i was looking for. Bowsers fury has a really simple story about, you guessed it, Bowser, but the story is much more unique and interesting. The levels in the game are all well done, nothing overly special but they are all very fun. Main reason i love the game though is because of the epic bowser vs Mario cat fights that feel epic and can only be compared to Godzilla vs King Kong.

Overall, i loved bowsers fury and I only wanted more after it ended. Just shows you how much effort Nintendo can out into games, even side games that are free inclusions.

4.5/5.

bomboooooooooooooooooooooooclat 10/9.9

mario furry nao preciso dizer mais nada

i don't like playing anymore this type of game

this game is REALLY fun! i like the 3d movement, the level design, the BEAUTIFUL artstyle, and the amazing soundtrack too! the bowser's fury section, oh man was that good. bowser has never looked as badass as he does in this game. definitely recommend!

Favorite 3d mario, gave me so much happiness as a kid and still does to this day. Bowser's fury is short but great, just adds more to an already good mario package

Pretty fun but a little simple. Going for 100% is very annoying, because of some of the collectables are very annoying to get. Certain characters pushing a button is stupid. Bowser's fury is not that fun. Constantly having to leave and come back is annoying and waiting for bowser's to get angry is annoying. Simply beating the game is fine, but completion is very not fun.

This is the Mario game to play with friends, 3D world is such a fun and inventive game, and the point system adds such a fun level of chaos when everyone's fighting for points to get the crown. On top of that Browsers Fury is a delightful glimpse into the future of Mario games.

A great port of Super Mario 3D World. The game now not only feels faster, but controls smoother. The addition of the jump dive makes the game fun to jump around in, much like Odyssey. The Bowser's Fury section of the port is a solid addition, however it isn't really something worth going back to once finishing.

Got an opportunity to play 3d World. When getting the Switch game you get the base game and the DLC which is a difference experience I will outline at the bottom.
Starting with 3D world base game, it was an absolute treat. I had much more fun then expected! The levels are well designed and the collectables are MOSTLY obtainable. Basically the game rewards you for exploring. The diversity of the levels create variety of gameplay which is always welcomed. When exploring the hub world, there are bonus areas (such as timed challenges and Captain Toad levels) that made it exciting to progress.
Occasionally you get bonus rooms to gain some extra lives or power-ups. Speaking of power-ups, although only 5 power-ups, which displayed classic power-ups such as the fire flower and original power-ups like the cat suit. The new power-ups I found to be the most unique throughout.
I like how you can choose your characters along with the ability to have multiplayer where as many as 4 players at the same time can cause chaos.
The only issues I had with the game were some collectables were cryptic to find and had on a rare occasion look them up as I wanted to play the final Captain Toad level. I also found about 10 levels had a high difficulty spike and can easily frustrate due to being unexpected. There was a level in World 4 that was more challenging then any level in World 5 (World 5 is my fav World).
Despite the levels listed, there was quite a few levels that were too easy and lacked a serious challenge even in areas in World 6, hence the difficulty imbalance.
There is a special power-up to aid players if they get stuck and die several times. Even with it's flaws I highly recommend for a seriously fun time, 86%.
The addition to Bowers Fury was a smart choice. This seriously adds value to the Wii U port making it worthwhile. Think of it as a hybrid to Mario 64 and Mario 3d World.
In summary, I loved Bower's Fury! Dare I say, more than Mario Odyssey. Reason being is each main collectable (shrine), had a task to complete to get it and were consistent in challenge and difficulty.
There was one shrine I can curse and hate getting, it wasn't hard but super annoying and costs me many attempts.
Otherwise my main complaint is, I wanted more and hope they expand on this concept. It took me about 10 hours to 100% Bowsers Fury and would encourage all to do try it out. 97%

ME parecio genial y la expansion me encanto

Earned all stars on my save file for 3D World, and found all Cat Shines for Bowser's Fury. Both of these games are incredibly polished and fun, would recommend to anyone, even non-Mario fans.

While neither 3D world nor Bowser's Fury are the best Mario game on their own, a package containing both definitely is. This has both the linear level based adventure goodness of the 2D games, and the fun exploratory collect-a-thon elements of the 3D games. With both having really fun Co-Op and the latter having the best Bowser fight in Mario history, this is easily best the franchise has been so far. My only gripe is that if you unlock Rosalina in the main game, any other save files of yours should have Rosalina unlocked from the start.

Super Mario 3D World is Great, and Bowser's Fury is amazing. I can't believe they basically just added another whole game to this game.

3d world is the perfect co-op Mario, with so much variety. Bowser's Fury is also refreshing and a great direction for the series.

This is my perfect mario 3d platformer right next to galaxy and odyssey

Mario 3D World:

They made online multiplayer work and it was so fun to play through. The movement getting a speed upgrade and some new moves from Wii U makes this super fun. Highly recommend with friends

AMAZING !! Best multiplayer mario to me. Bowser's fury was also a neat addition

I personally prefer 3D Land's smaller, more concentrated levels, but overall 3D world is a really solid little platformer. Bowser's Fury is also pretty fun, but it does have some frame rate issues.
