I won't discuss Skyrim as a videogame because it's such a gaming pillar, I think there's not much to say. When it comes to this release, though...
When Skyrim SE was released and I got it for free I was extremely negative about what Bethesda was doing. On PC it was mostly a re-release with the HD Texture Pack included.
Years after and with a modlist that is not 50 items but more than 450 I now appreciate Skyrim SE and it’s my only way of playing Skyrim. And while that might seem somewhat of a large number: it’s still Skyrim. It just plays better.
Performance is much better in SE, and it’s a more stable canvas.
The only negative side I can find is Bethesda still updating the game. Don’t get me wrong, patches and the AE content are a useful and welcome addition, but for the way Bethesda games work most of the time the update of the executable, which screws most mods, is really unnecessary. It adds little to nothing every time, except splitting one of the biggest modding communities.
Modding has reached such a high and polished level that I sadly doubt anything Bethesda will put out with Starfield or TES6 will be at the level of what can be achieved today on Skyrim.
The engine while it still has a problem and is cumbersome, it’s a lot more stable than Legendary Edition and so a lot of modders are choosing to only support Skyrim SE.
Do keep in mind the most supported versions of the game as of now are 1.5.97 and 1.6.363. I’m currently on the latter and it seems the best supported by modders, but 1.5.97 has a better crash logger.
That said, the game is still a legendary RPG, and even if you think it might not fit your liking perfectly, 100% there is a mod for it.
I absolutely suggest this gem to everyone, and I suggest it, even more, when modding is an option.

The dragon born DLC was an awesome expansion which I played all of! Loved the storyline, the ctatulu like books that gave you new abilities, the first dragon born story, exploring the island and setting up my weapons and armor sets! I had a complete Nordic, stalhrim(ice), iron, steel, elven, orcish, ebony, armor sets and weapon sets! I had a safe full of jewels, tons of staves, and all my armor was expertly refined. I liked the house you get in this DLC and I filled it. I played with some mods to enhance the graphics and sounds, add to the perk tree, and other minor improvements. I eventually moved to a better house from a mod that allowed more armor displays. It was a lot of fun revisiting Skyrim after 10 years since my first and previously only playthrough. Great times.

Al principio me empezó a enganchar muchísimo.
Lo tenía todo prácticamente, un estilo artístico bastante único, comenzaba con una historia bastante interesante, un mundo gigante y lleno de misiones... pero a las 20 horas de juego me empezó a aburrir.
Muy seguramente esté tipo de juegos no sean para mi simplemente, pero me abruma el tener tanta opción, tantos caminos y armas... No digo que el juego sea malo ni muchísimo menos, simplemente que no es para mi.
Estoy un poco por delante de la mitad de la historia, muy seguramente lo acabe retomando después de un tiempo.

It was an immense disappointment when I first played it, but I do plan to pick it back up one day.
Sou suspeito para falar que Skyrim é o melhor RPG, pois foi o primeiro que joguei lá no Xbox 360. Onde me apaixonei por este universo de fantasia e achei tudo tão encantador! E claro que não podia deixar de mencionar a trilha sonora, que é simplesmente uma das mais marcantes do mundo dos jogos! A Bethesda simplesmente não erra em trilha sonora.
E bom... anos depois no Xbox Series resolvi jogar novamente, e não havia como ser diferente - fiquei completamente imerso e apaixonado no mundo de Skyrim ( cheguei a jogar 10h por vários dias ). Onde pude ter minha casa, minha fazenda, me casar, ter uma filha e ter alguns pets.
Com certeza Skyrim é o melhor RPG, e a versão de aniversário é a melhor forma de experenciar tal obra-prima!

I feel like an ass writing this review. Skyrim is a masterpiece, one of the greatest, most expansive and immersive games ever made. I just... don't like it much. It's not for me. The problem is on my end, not the game's end.
Positives
Era-defining game, it set the mark for open world RPG's.
Excellent gameplay, world-building and storylines.
Vast content and quests, you could milk it for months and have more to go.
Old but gold.
Negatives
Traveling to new locations can be tedious, horses are virtually useless. Traversing dungeons in late game becomes annoying as their design is unintuitive.

I've played and replayed this game so many times, that if I added up all the hours of play I have it would be over 1000, I don't know if I'd say it's the best game in the world, but what I know is that it's a game that If you invest time, you'll never forget it, every year in your life you'll stop and think 'I have Skyrim, should I play it today?'

When I cleared the 100 barrel of 3 coins in the 30 identical brown cave, to which some drunkard sent me for a reward of 5 coins, I understood everything. Incredible adventures at your fingertips. Incredible characters, so interesting and charismatic, like in the film The Happening from the genius Shyamalan. The best combat in the industry, combining 2 button mashes with hundreds of spells that all work the same way. This is only possible in Skyrim. Still brilliant. Even too much.

If this would be your first time buying it, I'd recommend this or the Special Edition. At least this adds some cool creation club content, nothing huge but adds a bit more variety to the world.
Similar to the normal game, but it includes a few dlc. The game is hella fun, tho. You can make all your characters unique with a bit of creativity. There are still tons of exploits and a few bugs/glitches. Just Bethesda.
Incredible and timeless game. Few games match the atmosphere and immersion this game creates with fantastic sound design and an awesome sandbox.
Joguei Skyrim pela primeira vez em 2023, e embora o game tenha mecânicas bastante datadas, é impossível não reconhecer a forma como ele executa bem uma aventura rpg de mundo aberto. Minha maior crítica ao jogo são as dungeons extremamente repetitivas, onde o jogo brilha é definitivamente no seu mundo aberto.

A game that is truly a product of its time and it never left. Very clunky and dull, boring, and generally there is little to no incentive for me to do literally anything which is unfortunate.
Without mods it would be 3 stars. Mods make this game.
