Awesome arcade game! Always give it a play when I see it, massive song selection, too bad they give you like 30 seconds to pick your song LOL. Awesome intuitive controls and gives you I believe 3 songs to play per credit? Give it a shot if you see it

The jump to arcade just does not suit the Theaterhythm format. The controller is too out there as a piece of design where the touch controls make so much sense. Not so much s bad game but one that is too obtuse to pay arcade prices to learn.

When I saw this at round1 I was like oh you only get 2 songs per play. I grinded this at a con and it turns out there are like some "playlist" songs you can play that are 4-5 songs back to back and that makes a play credit worth it. As for the other versions, I only played a 3ds demo. In the case of the arcade controller, I think it works really well. The buttons feel good to press and the knob is like the coolest looking controller thing I've ever seen with all the bubbles in it and stuff. It also feels nice to juggle using the knobs and the buttons. Unfortunately playing the free play/offline version locks out songs so I was only able to play up to level 10s (no master difficulty). I'm looking at master difficulty stuff on youtube now and it definitely has you cook a bit so that's cool.

Coming from someone whose only final fantasy experience is some of ff3 as a kid and the tutorial in the mmo, I was not interested in any of the music. There were some songs I recognized just because of how popular FF if but I wasn't like oh man there's that chocobo song. This made selecting a song kind of dull but the "playlist" songs circumvented that really well. I didn't want to spend a credit picking 2 songs I didn't care about, but preparing a playlist of songs for me to play gave me a good goal. Also there was only like less than 10 Square Enix (non-final fantasy songs) and there were some good picks. I was pleasantly surprised to see they had the TWEWY opening theme in there. Fun game, the knobs are as appetizing as tide pods. This reminds me that I need to get the Dragon Quest game. Assuming this game still has online support, I'd like to unlock and play the master difficulty stuff next time I get the chance.
