In many aspects, the game has been significantly improved, whether it's shooting or hand-to-hand combat, the visual has become smoother and more enjoyable. Of the disadvantages, the tight inconvenient control of the car and an uninteresting plot.

For some reason I have played majority of the transformer games (recently too) and this has to be the best one so far. Story is obsolete but is not needed due to its simple yet fun gameplay. Achievements are linked to in game challenges which is a refreshing change. The game does not overstay its welcome and helps break the repetition with a large roster of characters, abilities and hacks to use.

Unfortunately, being handled by a different dev team than the other Cybertron games, having to tie the movies and not having any conviential multiplayer mean RoTDS was very disappointing.
The campaign itself is decent aside from continuity issues with both the Cybertron sections and the movies. The main offender being Megatron having his body from FoC despite this taking place before the events of that game, in which he gets a new body after being destroyed. Presumably because they either didn't pay enough attention to FoC or didn't want to make a new model.
Its a fun game, though not one that I'd pay more than 5-10 bucks for especially as its considered abandonware now so you could probably find it for free on PC.

at least it's a rehash of a good game. i feel like i had a fever dream where i just played fall of cybertron if it were worse, had awful enemy placement and forgettable areas, and had lockdown dropping a rock and yelling no instead of picking it up. except the fever dream was real! but my brain keeps tricking me into thinking i never played this game.
Also, the timeline makes no sense, which is funny because it's trying to bridge two continuities, one of which already makes no sense

They flew too close to the sun and got burned with this game. Combing the Cybertron games with Age of Extinction was a terrible concept at best. And you can't bribe me with having all the playable characters from the previous game (DLC included), it won't make this game any better.

An ugly game for the Xbox 360 with some performance issues here and there. It was okay but very forgettable and made worse by the fact that the previous 2 games in the series are really fun and memorable.
Holy shit is this game a let down compared to WfC and FoC. Glitches all around the game, and generally not as fun as the other games of the series.

This is the biggest piece of dogshit and a huge spit in the face of the previous two games. This story makes no sense, the gunplay is the same but the visuals are just awful. The enemies are very one note and the main antagonist is very boring and uninteresting. This game brings shame and i will never acknowledge it as being canon to the previous two games.

A short, buggy game that reeks of wasted potential. Apparently this was supposed to be a 30th anniversary game? If that's the case I question how much Activision or Hasbro cared about the brand at the time.
I personally don't think merging the live action movies with the Cybertron games was necessarily a bad idea, but the execution here is off, and I can't see it appealing to either group of fans. I'm just glad we got Devastation instead of whatever that ending stinger was potentially promising.

This game has no continuity. One half of the game supposedly takes place between WFC and FOC but not really and the second half is the movies but also not really. Overall game's a mess. They replaced the multiplayer for in-game loot boxes? Why?

As bad as B-sized games get. Deserves hate, if not for it's overall quality then for how it seemingly killed a great Transformers games series
