The gameplay is fine. It has some cool ideas it doesn't really cash in on. It's cool to have an open world game in Chicago. Everything that is memorable about this game is focused around the protagonist, the story, and how tonally strange everything is.
It's very clear that Aiden's sister was originally written as his wife and there was very little done to the script to make it feel that way. I love that you can get experience points for non-lethal takedowns as tons of innocent civilians die in a horrible car crash that you caused by hacking the stoplight at an intersection. Technically it's the cars exploding killing them, not you.

The most interesting thing about this game is being able to explore a decently recreated Chicago. Truth be told I never beat and don't plan too. Gameplay was okay but the story is just uninteresting with what feels like a boring edgy main character. I have head that the DLC featuring him in 3 was a bit redeeming for him so I might have to check that out.
The original Watch Dogs had a cool concept – hacking in a big city to uncover conspiracies sounds awesome! The story's a little bland, and Aiden isn't the most exciting character, but messing with traffic lights and chasing down targets with your phone is pretty fun. It gets repetitive a bit too quickly, and the driving isn't great, but as the start of a new series, it had potential.
JOGO FINALIZADO - Dificuldade Realismo
Vamos começar pelos pontos positivos:
Gameplay

The one reason I don't hate this game like other people do is because I was never around the graphics controversy. I literally never heard of it until I saw it on a store shelf back in 2014 and bought it because of man with gun on the cover.
As for the game itself, still a great premise but with middling execution. Gameplay is stellar but with some weird difficulty spikes, but regardless one of the reasons that makes Watch Dogs unique and why I love this series, but the story is vapid, not really worth caring, but it has its moments, like Jackie's obsession with the pizza guy, the human trafficking ring subplot (which is unfortunately flat), T-Bone's entire existence and his cool ass scrapyard, and the set-piece involving Lucky Quinn towards the end.

yeaaaahhh I think that's enough of that. I wanted to give this another shot, since I remember my High School self actually kind of enjoying it despite the negative press, but Watch Dogs has come to represent everything that was terrible about the gaming industry in 2014.
From the uninspired story, to the boring open world chores, awful bugs that were never patched, absolutely terrible PC mouse controls. Really just everything in one way or another points to a terrible trend that was popular in the industry 10 years ago. It's not exactly a fun reminder and the more you play it the more it felt like a waste of time, especially now with Watch Dogs 2 being out which is just a better experience in every single way.
If you are feeling curious, give it a shot for a few hours and turn it off if you are still bored by the start of act II. That'll save you a lot of time from mission after mission of awful car chases and terrible cutscenes.
