Same old FIFA gameplay, but the new Volta Football mode is a great addition, allowing for simplified games on a smaller field. I spent 90% of my time playing that mode.
I guess I'm done with this game. I was really getting into career mode as a player until I realized it's bugged and you get nowhere if you reach a high enough overall. I never got transferred and ended up the best player Rosenborg BK has ever seen. I buy Fifa titles every 5 years and I am astounded at how same this shit is. Am I supposed to wait 10 years between entries now? And how come the animations look LESS polished in a 2020 game? I feel like an absolute fucking idiot for wasting my time with that career mode. Generous two star rating because Fifa is always fun with your mate.

Slight improvement on 20 and Volta is cool. Dropped fairly early due to Ultimate Team being its usual bullshit self
Play it at friends' houses. Basically an inferior version of every single other Fifa game. Still really fun to play with friends though. I'll only buy another Fifa game if Mason Mount/N'golo Kante/Christian Pulisic is on the cover of one of it.

I used to play football games in my childhood and they were much fun than this. You can repeat the same atack position and win a match like 9-0 score. (at least for semi-pro difficulity)
Without mentioning all the negatives about this game, I gotta say that this a fun one to grind on Ultimate Team.

While still largely the same game as the previous release, as is the norm for FIFA, standing on its own it's still probably the most immersive holistic football game, even if PES was able to capture some of that magic, and do it better at times

Much better than 20 but that isn't saying a whole lot tbf. Gameplay is refined and pro clubs is the best it's been since 19 and volta is still decent... for the first few hours you play it. UT is much improved as well but career mode is done as they clearer don't care about it, the cash grab intentions are so obvious and I think that this'll be the last new fifa I play. Funny thing is that I didn't actually buy this one, I just played the 10 hour trial and it told me everything I need to know. I ain't gonna be buying the new ones when the come out anymore, and that sucks
