A game I want to play more often, but unfortunately I don't own the expansions so I don't have much content to play with. Other than that though, I really like the new additions they made from the Sims 2. I think they add a lot of playability and immersion to an already endlessly playable formula.

A good experience, but the DLC things costing so much was always bullshit and always will be. Oh well, at least it's fun.

i like snapping people's necks

Played this for way too many hours to rate it lower, but really feels like such a soul-sucking game. oh and fuck EA of course

Haha I made the woohoo and my mother grounded me
Great soundtracks tho

In terms of experience Sims 3 should be up there as the best entry in the franchise, the amount of things to do in the game with all the expansions included is insane, you could easily play this regularly for a year and still try new things, but sadly it suffers from being optimized like ass.
If EA actually somehow fixed this by making it not load for 5 minutes and constantly lag even on modern PCs I could easily rec this as the ultimate sims game.

QUASE EXPLODI MEU PC COM ILHAS TROPICAIS

I play this to cope with the fact that my parents didn't love me and left with a twisted view on women and parenthood which resulted in my divorce and eventually becoming an alcoholic. At least here I can fuck Jennifer Aniston.

it's the sims! expansion packs should be free this is a threat

One of the most perfect games I've played in my entire life

I had some fun with this game but it's lacking the charm of the first two.

fun and wild. really fun to play even if you eventually feel burnt out.

This could easily be the ultimate sims experience if
a) the game didn't shat itself when you try to use it with all the expansions, like expect to be on the loading screens for at least 10 minutes even if you have a modern beefy pc (the fact that they added a minigame on the loading screen tells you everything)
b) the sims didn't look so damn ugly

Great game unfortunately brought down by the performance on PC

muito bom, pena que meu computador quase morre toda vez que eu jogo

Probably the best experience you can have in The Sims series.

It's not without its faults. The sims essentially have the same facial appearance and limited builds. This is somewhat saved by Create-A-Style - a feature that allows to fully customize clothing - but the faces constantly appearing makes it difficult to ignore despite the many ways you can diversify a Sim.

The game is also optimized quite poorly. It's easy for it to lag or stutter, due to the large amounts of processing required with the open world in effect.

Having said that, the open world itself is worth it. It brings life to the game, and makes it pop as a life simulator. You can see what every Sim in the neighborhood is doing at all, and with story progression on, will see it constantly evolve.

Despite this, EA's integrated story progression feature is lackluster and not properly balanced. You'll see a lack of kids and new adults joining the neighborhood. At some point the town will feel old due to this fact. Thankfully, a mod exists to improve this feature (as well as give you proper control over them!).

While flawed, this game is fun and easy to get sucked into for the long-haul. It has an excellent progression meter and your choices do matter in every way as you progress through careers or relationships the way you want them or in their own free will. The expansion packs, while not cheap, mostly offer good value by enhancing the gameplay with an exception or two.

The darling game of my teens. Laggy open worlds, a memory system that clutters your game very quicky, and a Create-A-Sim that's dull and only redeemed by the Create-A-Style feature. The gameplay, though? Superb. Beats out the rest of the series. It feels so much more vibrant, like an actual mini world to manage and change. Very fun, highly recommend.

Feature-wise, this is the peak of all Sims games because of the open world. The first time I played it I was blown away that you could have one sim walk across the street and just invade somebody else's home. I love the charm and personality of Sims 1 and 2 quite a bit more than 3, but this is still a really good game. The problems I have with it are the lag, and the fact that it's impossible to make a sim who doesn't look the same as everyone else. Everybody is unavoidably baby-faced.

I like this game sooo much but it's way too laggy, I switched to Sims 2 so rip i guess. I really like this game tho, fun eps, (especially generations) great customization, and the open world is a lot of fun to mess around with
