Masterpiece, the black eyed peas are my friends now!!!

Mid '00s cultural artifact of immense power.

This was like Instagram, all I did was look at hot people.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I enjoyed this game.

This game is just as repetitive as my real life but you can get a radical little pet monkey so yeah

this is the most "sister game" thats ever existed

This game is not bad, it's just have the wrong approach to urban culture and the system. Create a sim, send him to a place with an urban niche (goths, clubbers, rappers and etc) socialize and fulfill meters and do objectives. The styled style seems a little off in representing some cultures, the wardrobe is too limited when approaching sub-cultures and there is much thing going on that you may loose it on the camera. It's a fun game, but could be better if they had more time to adjust certain thing in the design and mechanics. Simple fun, you might enjoy it.

i kinda love this game, but yeah, its got major flaws. its super repetitive and boring if you look at it from a purely gameplay perspective but,,, idk something abt the urbz just scratches my brain so good. it's so distinctly 2000s and it's not ashamed of that. a lot of the styles and clothes of the districts haven't been seen in the series before or since this game released and it gives it such a unique look to it and i love it for that.

idk, its the kinda game where i play it just for the vibe it has and sometimes thats all i need. i enjoy it for what it is, and while i'd love to see a remake or something of the urbz, i dont think it'd have the same appeal to me that this does. i'll forever be mad that the sequel got canned though. oh, what could have been.

Seminal game in discovering street wear, social night life, side hustles, and casual dating. Still, almost 20 years later, cannot decide if the lack of any importance for a base apartment is a bug or a feature, because you'd barely need to convince me that it's supposed to flow with the laissez faire lifestyle being pushed in the game. Anyway, gimme back gratuitous piercings and dumb hair and the Black Eyed Peas.

I was so obsessed with this when I was a child

sims + the black eyed peas... what more could u possibly want

DS version is 5 stars and PS2 version is 4 stars so we'll do a nice in-between. Both great games.

Make friends,but remember to piss

GBA/DS Version: Very fun game with a good sense of humour. Character interaction is great as all NPCs have their own likes/dislikes and unique dialogue regarding topics of conversation.

Console Version: It's OK. Sims but edgier and with licensed music and celebrities, definitely a product of the mid-2000s.

While my sister would actually play the game and move up the social ladder, i'd just dumpster dive everywhere she went.

Abject, highly functional gentrification sim. Instant thesis material for u writers out there. Features Black Eyed Peas' covers in Simlish.

i dont rlly remember much abt this game i played it as a kid LOL it was cool to me tho. i like the more story-driven sims games

I remember it was shitty but I played for hours as a kid

Muito grande para mentes pequenas.

the sims peaked with neon east

The sims, if it was in the city. And also not that good

Somethin' about this game awakened me as a child. This game's got style, baybee.

It's a spin on The Sims series with a serious dose of funk. I really love this era of console Sims where they broke formula and gave you different game mechanics to navigate through various campaigns. They'll never be better than the mainline series, but they're fun in their own right and this is one of the better spin-offs for me.

The story here isn't anything that'll wow you, and it's technically never ending, but it's still fun nonetheless. It can feel repetitive after a while, but it's relatively short. You'll start off as a complete nobody, traversing the urban landscape and meeting different cliques full of their own personalities and style of clothing. The different music for each location gives each area it's own vibe. It's an idea that I wish they would have tried again, or at least expanded on. It would be fantastic to see all these styles blended together with the tools we have today and with more options.

The only weird thing to me is that once you achieve greatness, styling yourself using different clothes from different areas for some reason makes you a pariah from the other Sims. I feel like if I become cool enough to obtain a luxurious party pad apartment, I should be able to dress how I want.

This game is also the closest you will ever be to The Black Eyed Peas. I guess, unless you actually like their music enough to see them live. WELL, they're in this game and so is their music (In Simlish). Do with that what you will.

I think the main thing that hampers this games quality isnt really the funny Black Eyed Peas stuff or like the generally boomer perspective on culture - I think its the fact that building was stripped down and put in limbo, really reducing the main appeal of The Sims imo.
