Frankly would've been happy for the Alone In The Dark franchise to die with Carnby's ancestor clunkily gunning down Cthulhu in an asset-flip dockyard and be greeted by a blindingly bright wall of text "Congratulations. You defeated evil. But, evil again? The Alone In The Dark Saga Continues..."
