I mean the bae moevements in this game are my fav in all of farcry like I love jumping around like a superhero but thats it tbh I hate the grinding I hate the story I hate the guns I hate the villians just mid all around like leveling the enemies os just a perfect example of the kinda game this is wasn't hard to platinum but I still want my time back game suck 4/10

I actually enjoyed this more than Far Cry 5 in some aspects. Sure, the game is shorter and smaller, but I had a lot of fun with it.

As always, Ubisoft never fails to make stunningly beautiful environments. The gameplay is very very fun (I can only imagine what it's like to play with a friend). The story is fine. Nothing complex and it takes you to some interesting characters from Far Cry 5. However, the twin villains of this instalment are by far the weakest part of the game in my opinion. Without saying too much, there are some questionable additions with supernatural elements that I hope to never see again in the Far Cry franchise, but it did admittedly enhance the 'fun factor' of the game. There's plenty of content to waste your time, like the cool Expeditions and repeatable outposts, and the plenty vehicles and weapons you can craft (unfortunately all pre-made; there's no customization).

Like I said, I had a lot of fun with this one, so consider picking this one up. I highly recommend that you play Far Cry 5 before this one, or at least familiarize yourself with the events of that game.

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

If I had to describe this game with one word it would be: safe.

Far Cry New Dawn reverts back to the Far Cry 3 open world style including its narrative structure. The loot system isn't like most people say it is, its just the same combat system but with a different progression system and more punishment for not calculating against armor. If anything the progression system is like Primal's, which tasked you with gathering mats from dangerous locations to get the best stuff you need. Not much else to talk about other than the new expeditions, which are from the ground up stealth/combat arenas where the rarest loot is found. Again: very safe.

The story itself is a non-cannon interpretation of what life would be like during the aftershock of the apocalypse. A new faction clad in red (of course) takes over a nuclear-de-winterized Hope County, and it is up to the remnants of the old world to take it back. It is a pulpy take on the post-apocalypse genre, the residents act like how a figurative "Mad Max but 2019" film would go. The returning side characters are now better than ever because they are handled much better in the narrative, such as actually having to rely on them for help and seeing how deep their interpersonal bonds go. Now the villains are the biggest problem with the story. Mickey and Lou, while dastardly and annoying in their own right, suffer the same exact problems as the old Seed Family (get ready to hear "power" "weak" and "daddy" every other sentence). The other one, Ethan Seed, is just a whiny prick, probably the worst villain in the series so far bar none. Again it plays itself very safe and disconnected from the previous games snob-nosed writing.

I guess all I can say is that it was alright, not the worst one but certainly not near the best (or even the middle of the pack). The one merit it does have is that it is the Far Cry game where you just straight up feel the most powerful, If you want to power trip in Far Cry, this is the game for you. Otherwise eh.

This game feels like it wants to be too many things. Ultimately it’s so boring. Nothing about this game is appealing other than the combat feeling nice.

cool gameplay but horrible story and antagonists are goofy as hell

far cry 5 só que com skin de apocalipse e uma história merda
e gráficos piores (boa ubisoft)

What is Farcry new dawn? Well its a fps game with some rpg mechanics.
Its also a direct sequel to Farcry 5.

I highly recommend playing Farcry 5 before reading this review.

Game setting/story:

As a direct sequel to Farcry 5, you find your self in a post apocalyptic part of Hope County.
The plot is simple, you fight against bandits to secure your home.
Again your character is mute and you dont have the ability to speak with other characters/npcs.
Unfortunately you dont play as the Deputy in Farcry 5, but as some random "Security Captain".
For Farcry 5 enjoyers, i can say that the original "Deputy" will appear in some form in the game.
Villans are obviously the 2 women in the banner.
Their not that bad story - wise, but not very good either.
As for the setting: i enjoyed it, because it was very colorfull.
What was also interesting, was finding and looking at old Farcry 5 places that were demolished.

Mechanics/new things:

Game mechanics are pretty much the same from Farcry 5.
But there are some new things with the "new things"
The game as it was already written is more of a rpg style.
So you need to collect something in order to get better guns, vehicles and ect or, just to get the option to get better guns and ect.
The classic Farcry outposts are different too. Every outpost can be beaten 3 times.
With every victory, the difficulty gets harder.
In the main base/home, theres also thing called "Expeditions". Its basically completing a task on a different small map.
Rewards are mostly huge, but it depends what mission difficulty you choose.
You need to unlock it first tho.

Graphics:

Game looks good as his ancestor, and it also runs pretty good as his ancestor.
It really gives the world a post apocalyptic vibe.

Overall:

Overall it isnt a bad sequel, but it also feels like more of a dlc to Farcry 5.
If you want your money to be worth it, buy it with discount.

7/10

(Copied from my steam review)

The best Far Cry game from a cohesion standpoint, it holds a clear story and thematic throughline continuing in the entire game which is simply absent in every other game in the series. the elements of graphics, music, characters, etc. all work together in a way that is unique among the series which is often designed in a way that rarely forms a cohesive product.
