Better than the first two final fantasies.

They went away from the weapon upgrading in FF2 which whilst I got used to the weapon ranking up of FF2. The OG ranking up is just better.

So the job role I was surprised by that you could change your job role at any time and change it. I did like this change although I felt like there needed to be more explanation or transparency in what the roles did.

Overall the game was fun and enjoyed the story and the gameplay. Was annoying that the airship couldn't ride past mountains but with how enjoyable the game was. I'll be happily surprised if it gets better from here for part 4-6

Started on my Super NES Mini, then later transferred the save data to my laptop, and finally onto my modded Wii, to be finished using SNES9x. I'm still unsure of the Active Time Battle system, but I want to give it a fair chance eventually.

Arguably the greatest JRPG of all-time.

Square took the lessons learned from all the previous Final Fantasy games and turned out a genuinely interesting story with tons of memorable characters, locations, and emotional twists, that also knows how to have lighthearted fun.
