morgana is somehow even more annoying in chibi form

This is the best persona game and Toshiro is the goat persona character. Love all the cool stuff that happens at the end of the game, a shame it seems basically nobody has finished it

The official game of Persona 5 burnout. Let’s move on Atlus.

if you're going to make a persona 5 spin off, make a persona 5 spin off about the phantom thieves i fucking beg you

Tentei jogar mas no decorrer do jogo fui cansando e ficando desanimado.

This one hurt. This game is fun as hell but god it's story bored me to tears. Maybe strikers raised my expectations for what a Persona spin-off could be a little too high, but regardless this one was just disappointing.

Worth it for the new characters Toshiro and Erina alone. Wish they were actual P5 characters. Gameplay is a very fun combination of Persona and XCOM that works well, if that piques your interest as well.

Initial Thoughts - As a Persona 5 spinoff, I didn't like it as much as P5 Strikers, but I still had a great time with the game. I got the game on release day cuz I was interested in both the new art style and the gameplay. I somewhat regret purchasing the gameplay at full price as I felt that this game is better to get on sale. Regardless, I found the tactics gameplay and level design to be the highlight. I'd compare it more to the Mario + Rabbids games than Xcom. The game initially felt simple, but I found that a lot of the complexity came from the level design and stage objectives.

Story - I found the story to been okay for the most part. I won't get too in-depth, but I think my main problem stemmed from the long cutscene in between stages. The formula of long cutscenes to stage then back to long cutscenes also killed my enjoyment entirely. I know I could skip, but I was at the very least invested in the story of the new character of the game. Early on you meet two new characters exclusive to this game is Erina and Toshiro. Erina is a playable party member who acts as a tutorial for the first world and Toshiro is a politician would ended in the Metaverse. Unfortunately, he suffers from the very common troupe of amnesia and doesn't know why he is there. However, his story seemed to be the most interesting to me.

Conclusion - To keep it short, I liked P5T but I some had small issues with it overall. In some way I based my enjoyment on how often I got to play it. I was never super excited any chance I'd get to play it. More often than not, I was either busy or playing games with friends. But even after getting to the end, I didn't feel the same way about finishing a game of a similar hour count. I got to the end and I was satisfied.

What I played was neat, has some interesting spins on the genre. But I've had no urge to go back and finish it at any point in the last 6 months.

Bought this game because I love Persona 5 and expected to be able to spend more time with my favorite characters but got to the 2nd chapter and realized I was going to be doing the same stuff all over again with the most dragging story. Not my cup of tea but might consider picking it back up again if my love for the Phantom Thieves compels me to.

How bored these type of games make me outweighs how much I love persona. I unfortunately don't think I'm gonna finish this any time soon. Sucks because I feel like I was wrapping the game up but this genre of game is just way too much of a snooze fest for me to power through for the sake of "ILOVEEEEEPERSONA5"

Man.

The more I think about my experience with this game, the more I love and appreciate it. While the price tag hurts (especially with the dlc), the gameplay, story, music, interactions and especially the new characters are so amazing, charming and wonderfully done. It saddens me a little that the thieves kind of suffer from background character syndrome, but apart from that, absolutely worth every second. I love this cast and this artstyle was extra charming and cute for them!

While this game doesn't expand much from the original cast of P5, what it brings new is all incredibly well done. Erina, Guernica, and especially Toshiro are some of the best characters not only in the "P5" series of games, but the series as a whole. The art style is striking and an improvement over that in the Q games. The gameplay took a long time to get used to, but once it hits, it hits hard and it makes the game addicting. Overall its in the upper tiers of Persona spin-off titles.
