The only way I could recommend this game is if you never played gen 4 before. Other than that, this is virtually the same game 15 years prior to this release, only with fairy types. For prior Pokemon remakes we had new features and design updates that at the very least made the game fresh. For fire red and leaf green, it was double battles and abilities to match its hoen counterpart, as well as the sevii islands. For heart gold and soul silver, it was online capabilities and the battle frontier. For omega ruby and alpha sapphire, it was the nav in the touch screen as well as mega evolutions to match X and Y. These games also got design updates to characters and it's region, updates and sometimes remixes to it's sound track, and also a graphical style to match the generation it's paired with. BDSP had neither of these things. Again you may like it if you never played gen 4 before, and in that case I'd recommend playing platinum. But if you have played gen 4 already, this one is worth skipping over.
i spent a week obsessing like a little gremlin over how to beat cynthia and ive never felt more rewarded than when i did eventually beat her, shame the rest of the game is just meh
honestly it didnt keep me interested. im sorry but kinda boring. it was cute but i dont think im gonna finish it.

This is a video game that I despise. If this spells the future for remakes, just do rereleases Game Freak porting your games is a literal gold mine

Ritmo ainda mais lento e progressão decepcionante, e oque falar dos gráficos? eu esperava ver algo vibe OR/AS melhorado e não uns chibi de macinha de modelar, é degradante como os jogos da pokemon company vem decaindo desde a era 3DS.
Embora todas as críticas, o jogo não é uma porcaria completa, ainda é decente e da pra se divertir, mas é um fracasso pensar nisso como um remake.

A very faithful remake...which means also remaking the bad stuff DP made and not adding the Platinum fixing...Could have been better to just remake Platinum.

Decent overall, the normal trainers on routes are extremely boring to fight, but the gym leaders feel smarter. The elite four and champion are some of the hardest and most fun battles in the series. Decent Pokédex and the lack of Hms is great. Fun game.
Honestly, I kinda like the artstyle this game went with. Pokemon fans are the hardest people to please, it seems.

Actually the first Pokemon game I have ever shiny hunted on. But as a remake of the original Diamond it's not that great. Art style isn't really my thing and the overall vibe is just not the same. I hope they will do a better job at remaking gen 5.
It was cool but nothing particularly special. I really liked the cutesy aesthetics and suffered no glitches yet it still felt just ok. Still a preferable way to play the game over the DS originals.

Everything Brilliant Diamond does right is the result of the decisions made for Diamond and Pearl back in the mid 2000’s. A simple retread of the worst two games of the generation 3 trilogy with little extra to redeem itself.

Sad remake, they couldnt even remake the platinum parts
Although people may have hated the artstyle it actually isn't that bad. The fights don't feel difficult but gym leaders and the elite 4 definitely are.
This game did a number on the Pokémon fanbase and now they're completely fucking scared of remakes.
Completed Pearl as a kid, currently playing this remake of Diamond in Spanish.
