Initial Thoughts - As a Persona 5 spinoff, I didn't like it as much as P5 Strikers, but I still had a great time with the game. I got the game on release day cuz I was interested in both the new art style and the gameplay. I somewhat regret purchasing the gameplay at full price as I felt that this game is better to get on sale. Regardless, I found the tactics gameplay and level design to be the highlight. I'd compare it more to the Mario + Rabbids games than Xcom. The game initially felt simple, but I found that a lot of the complexity came from the level design and stage objectives.

Story - I found the story to been okay for the most part. I won't get too in-depth, but I think my main problem stemmed from the long cutscene in between stages. The formula of long cutscenes to stage then back to long cutscenes also killed my enjoyment entirely. I know I could skip, but I was at the very least invested in the story of the new character of the game. Early on you meet two new characters exclusive to this game is Erina and Toshiro. Erina is a playable party member who acts as a tutorial for the first world and Toshiro is a politician would ended in the Metaverse. Unfortunately, he suffers from the very common troupe of amnesia and doesn't know why he is there. However, his story seemed to be the most interesting to me.

Conclusion - To keep it short, I liked P5T but I some had small issues with it overall. In some way I based my enjoyment on how often I got to play it. I was never super excited any chance I'd get to play it. More often than not, I was either busy or playing games with friends. But even after getting to the end, I didn't feel the same way about finishing a game of a similar hour count. I got to the end and I was satisfied.
