pokemon needs to become darker, it needs guns, and drugs. this shit looks dark, but its for fucking kids and that pisses me the fuck off

An improvement on Diamond and Pearl in nearly every way.

Among the best Pokémon games you can play. Awesome soundtrack, fantastic region.

HeartGold is my favorite Pokémon game of all time so I was interested in playing the actual Gen 4 games. Platinum has the same appeal as Yellow, Crystal, and Emerald before it: it combines the two other games and creates a more streamlined experience with some improvements and new content. This is a top ten Pokémon game: the Gen 4 Pokémon are cool, I like the graphics and music, and I appreciate that this game actually has some difficulty, unlike most of the entries in the series.

a classic, fixes a lot of the awful stuff that DP did to the gba to ds transition, but still is very slow and the E4 grind is kinda ridiculous

Sinnoh lore is pretty cool. Also has my favorite music out of the mainline games. Just a great game in general.

Me when there's more than two fire types this time around (😱)

Surprisingly one of my favourites.

Pokemon Platinum made me feel like I'd never enjoy a Pokemon game again. The entire generation was way too slow, I hated the evolution designs for 'mons like Magmortar, Rhyperior, etc. The artstyle was also awful. The game looked ugly. I didn't care for the legendary designs either. I really had to wonder if maybe I'd just outgrown Pokemon
