Darkman for the Game Boy is a simple action-platformer based on the 1990 movie. You play as the disfigured vigilante, swinging from ropes, punching gangsters, and dodging traps across several cityscape levels. While the swinging mechanic is somewhat unique for the time, the game suffers from repetitive gameplay, awkward controls, and frustrating difficulty spikes. Unless you're a die-hard fan of the film, Darkman is a skippable experience hidden among the Game Boy's better offerings.
