It's a decent top down adventure game, but it can be frustratingly difficult. There are ways to mitigate this to some extent via the upgrade system, but losing progress still becomes maddeningly annoying especially because of how slow Fester is.

Ugh, you know how your parents brag about games being insanely hard back in their day? Fester's Quest is the kind of game they meant. Aliens, weird power-ups that make you even weaker, and everything is out to kill you. Frustrating, yeah, but kinda has this weird charm to it... probably 'cause it's so bad.
