Why was it designed? Why was it invented?

Galerians: Ash is a disaster.
Let's start with the premise that this game is probably one of the most boring games I've ever played in my entire life, although it still offers something interesting.

The thing that pisses me off the most is just the level design, I mean the way the character behaves in the game, they really got it wrong because of Rion's EXTREMELY SLOW movement, visually yes, he runs, but he runs so slow that it feels like walking, the open spaces and corridors don't help at all, making the game very slow and clunky.
Then let's not talk about the camera, sure, a common problem with PS2 games, but the camera in this game is really annoying, to explain it, you don't really have any way to adjust your view or otherwise turn the camera around the character, the only thing you can do is go into a 'first person' mode by pointing the right analogue in any direction, ok, some kind of movement I guess, the problem is that it's extremely sensitive and useless in the game, it adds nothing.
The only thing I can really give as a plus is the setting, I like the sci-fi setting and also some of the character designs, especially Ash, however the promotional artwork by Shou Tajima is WAY better than in the game, well speaking specifically, the original Japanese cover art I have to say is very cool, but the rest is just to be discarded.
Talking about the CGI, my god is it bad, the characters have no expression in the cutscenes and when they talk they look paralysed, I know it's like 2002 game with probably a very low budget, but I can't help but criticise it.
To end on a high note, at least this game makes you appreciate the prequel even more than you should.
