An enriching experience for Pokémon lore, which allows us to better place the rest of the games on the timeline. This is a great story that tries to solve the paradox of the Theseus's ship; I really liked the conclusion when Pikachu told Charizard that despite all the technological implants he has received due to his injuries in WW2, his heart was still the same.

My only complaint is that sometimes the narrative interrupts the gameplay too much and can be frustrating.
