Stories: The Path of Destinies has an interesting concept, where you can replay and change the story based on knowledge you’ve gained from ‘failed’ playthroughs, until you get you the perfect ending.

However, the game is too small in scale for the concept to be executed in a super satisfying way. The few hours you’ll spend playing you’ll see the same small handful of levels, enemies, and story threads over and over.

That said, it’s not an awful game. The story is pretty well written, besides the fact it expects you to already be familiar with the world’s characters and lore. The combat is also decently fun, especially when you get a combo going.

While the game demands a bit too much from you, I’d recommend at least playing through for the minimum of five endings (four ‘failed’ endings unlocking ‘Truths’, and the perfect ending).
