I love this game. The difficulty, despite being high, is just right to keep you from abandoning it. It's also nice that the game rewards players who invest more in its gameplay. Additionally, it's worth remembering that Shovel Knight defeated Kratos canonically.

Plague of Shadows is the best one DO NOT. @. ME.

Started on 3DS (which uses the 3D to give the level such an incredible visual depth that it might still be the best way to experience the game) and then replayed on Switch and Steam Deck. One of the best in the entire platforming genre.
