The best GoW game. Early Kratos is great of course but this more layered version of Kratos is the perfect version of him. Great combat. Unforgettable characters and story beats. Just fantastic.

Many may complain about the "new Kratos", but after his long journey and an unholy amount of kills, he is just an older, burnt out man who wants only one thing: peace.
Still, he managed to grow even more in this game, and the father-son relationship shines through.
Atreus may be annoying at times, but remember that he is just a little boy who had to grow up in a very short time.
Bonus point: Huge plot twist at the end.

As a long time fan of Kratos, this is one of the best God of War games ever and I'm so glad they pulled off the switch to Norse mythology. It's just as good and thrilling as the original games.
Def worth the playthrough, just miss the old play style tbh but it’s def a good game for sure. Still has an amazing story as well.
Com certeza entra no meu top 10 jogos, e foi o grande motivo de eu comprar um PS4. A história marca uma nova era para Kratos, a antes jornada de caos e sangue agora foi substituída por amor e redenção, e isso não poderia ter sido feito de forma melhor. A nova personalidade de Kratos trás um lado novo do personagem, mas, ao mesmo tempo, fãs de longa data perceberão os traços do antigo deus da guerra em sua nova faceta. Os novos personagens e novo reino são um ótimo respiro após diversos jogos na grécia, e uma reinvenção necessária.
Falando em reinvenções necessárias, a gameplay sofreu grandes alterações, mas, de forma alguma removeram a sensação e poder de se jogar God Of War, a brutalidade e intensidade continua presente, mas agora de forma mais "dinâmica".

i will never understand the willful ignorance of people putting this on a pedastal as something new and groundbreaking when it's a dad game in the centre of dad game's popularity. new for kratos doesn't mean new for the industry and pretending this is a character risk when there are dozens of characters like current kratos is so silly

There is a reason why this game is cherished so much and why kratos is one of the most beloved video game characters. There couldn't have been a better way to revisit an old franchise. I really love the approach they took with him going through parenting in this game and It developed his character even more. I really need to play Ragnarock now.
This was my first God of War game. The graphics are great, the music is wonderful, the gameplay is fun, and the story is outstanding. I was already familiar with Kratos as a character but I could never expect how well he would be depicted in this game. This is easily one of the best games ever made and is still a contender for the best God of War game.

You face all kinds of difficulties and events to reach the mountain. When one ends, a new one begins and after a while it starts to get boring. I could only last 2 hours.
What a return, I'm sure Barlog will come back to make the followup super epic and awesome and not squander this newfound potential whatsoever
As a fan of the original trilogy this game was ok, it was nice to see kratos in a more relaxed matter compared to his younger self, but I dont like the gameplay that much compared to og and the “puzzles” in this game are a snooze fest. the valkyrie fights are baller tho

I expected God of War to be a money grab, but it's an excellent 3rd person action game.
I bought a PS4 for this game and it was worth every penny. First console I technically ever earned/bought because my Dad bought it for me after babysitting my little sister all summer. Great combat, breathtaking visuals (truly next gen), and an epic story for the ages.
Story is pretty good, unlike the gameplay
GOW 2018 has a special place in my heart. After growing up playing the original GOWs, when this game teased at 2016,E3 I really went crazy. I knew that as soon as this game came out, I was playing it, and damn it delivered. The character development on Kratos is unmatched. The combat is fun and the combos you can pull out are both great and fun as well. The boss fights are all amazing, but we all know Baldur 1 clears everything else in the game. Along with Witcher 3, Its just Peak.
