Notably a lower-tier installment of these Lego games but the formula is always very fun. Doesn't bring any new ideas to the series and very little incentive to replay or try out new characters.
Characters are also disappointing considering how outrageous & unique so many characters from the movie are. There's a sequence that was clearly supposed to be where you unlock Gandalf and Dumblebore but instead you unlock Gandalf and a generic magician character, Dumbledore never shows up. Most of the unlockable characters have the same special ability - "Women can do gymnastics."
But punching and building legos in the environment is always fun. And when the game does find cool & unique moments to do with it's puzzles & characters (like kicking chairs as Bad Cop or when you finally unlock a character who can fly), the fun kicks back in.
You can certainly find a better Lego Game than this. But if a weird kid told me this was their favorite, I could see where they were coming from.
