This game led to my interest in MMOs, multiplayer games, anime and JRPG tropes. Fighting a difficult boss while my school friends and I were underlevelled in the 2000s is an unforgettable memory. Someday I plan to return to this once they release it on Steam and mobile

everything about this game is kinda stupid, but ultimately charming. 2000s anime-reverence, the humor of epic potato nyancat millennials, poorly optimized on flash, annoying premium subscription, nickle and diming from artix himself. however, its that oldschool runescape brainworm type shit and a one of a kind experience. that i wouldn't go through today because a ttwo button tab target flash MMO is boring in the modern and day and was boring 15 years ago without a subscription lmao

A browser MMO you play as a child. While charming at the time, I stopped playing it because of egregious grinds and that the filler between story chapters was ridiculous.

grindy? sure. mindless? yeah. money hungry? absolutely. however, it is engrossing, charming, and (of course) deeply nostalgic. it’s surprisingly active to this day too which i gotta respect.

Big part of my childhood, never had a lot of friends to play it with nor could poor child Tyler afford a membership which really hampers a lot of what you can do in an MMO. Never could get past like the 3rd or 4th main story boss because of what stated above but even if it is literally babies first MMO someday i would like to assemble a group of friends and try to beat the game.

Started playing this game when I was 9, I still come back from time to time to check it out, but honestly nothing major has changed. Not too happy about the grind that I had to make to get certain items but I still did anyways. Those were the days when AQW was somewhat popular but I guess the games dead...

Story time!
When I was a kid my brother and I would always laugh at this game cuz it was "lame", or whatever. We had cringe cousins who played it, after all, and it is only natural for a young brother and sister to bond over laughing at cringe people who play cringe games. But one day, little eleven-year-old RPG-loving me saw the game had been updated and I got curious. So I created an account and started playing it but my brother walked past and saw Artix out of the corner of his eye before I switched tabs, and he asked if I was looking at hentai cuz he saw an anime guy on my screen before I hastily clicked off it. Obviously I said no... he walked past again and I tried to hide my gaming habits once more... but it was too late. I had been outed as an AdventureQuest Worlds player. I still vividly remember how hard he laughed, how desperately I tried to justify myself by insisting the updates had made it cool, and to this day I'm not sure whether it woulda been more or less embarrassing to just put hentai on my screen instead.

fui beta tester e joguei por uns anos, ainda lembro o username e a senha, n faço a mínima ideia de quantas horas gastei
