Man, as a huge kaiju fan, this would be one of my favorite NES games if not for literally one game-breaking mechanic: randomizing the distance that the thing you need to defend can move. It’s impossible to strategize around and makes your whole playthrough dependent on sheer luck. I hope someone can patch that out or something, because this bite-sized strategy game is awesome. The newer indie game Kaiju Wars tried to do nearly the same thing but I couldn’t really get into it. The battle animations in this are the most charming thing I’ve seen on the NES. One day someone will create the perfect kaiju strategy game.

Ever wanted to defend a city from the dreadful onslaught of a huge monster? No? Well play this anyway. It's a neat strategy game that involves you protecting an egg thing from the giant monster Deburas, at least that's how the first level works. I, ah, kind of got killed.
