GBG is obviously not as robust or feature-filled as most of the game development tools folks use nowadays. But for what it’s worth, I had fun with it. Using Nodons is a cute, effective “Nintendo” way of teaching programming basics, especially for complete coding scrubs like myself. I was able to get some things working, complete with gameplay, goals & custom artwork. It’s a good time, but would've stayed relevant much longer if it had game-sharing work similarly to Mario Maker.

a neat game if you can get it for free. its fun for awhile but theres not much to do and its pretty basic.

This game could be fun for kids interested in making games but there isn’t a lot here otherwise. The lessons can be boring at times and you can’t play other people’s games online without level codes??? For the price it’s pretty good but not something I see myself coming back to.

I liked the part where I built games.

Actually a really cool editor. The GBG community was pretty active for several months. But man, the lack of online level hubs yeeted this game into the andromeda galaxy.

for 30 dollars, your basically getting ripped off. i wasn't expecting this to be a brand-new state of the art game development program, and more so something directed towards young children interested in making games, but there's much better free options out there like scratch. it can be cool seeing what people make with this, but in the end it's just a basic game development software not worth your hard earned 30 dollars. if you ever see the physical version selling for 10 dollars i would recommend it though but only as a game to add to your collection.

I wouldn't say it's worth the price, but it's also funny, and occasionally impressive, to see what other people come up with.

I managed to recreate a really bad version of Beat Saber to the Wallace and Gromit theme
