Yes, I understand where people are coming from when they call this game lazy. It reuses a bunch of assets from previous games, and doesn't have that much new, outside of the Variable Assist system.
But I don't care, this game was a blast to play! I already enjoyed the cast of Marvel Super Heroes, but now having them fight against the Street Fighter cast is a delight! Cyber Akuma is funny, but also fun to fight!
Man, I can't wait until I play the Marvel VS Capcom games.

The Hyper Fighter you can bring home to your parents.
Combos are all pretty fun and simple, its relatively well balanced, and it doesn't have crazy infinites out the ass like the previous title. A pretty good game to show to people more used to traditional fighter, but looking to broaden their horizons.

While a good game in its own right, though probably the least competitively played title in the arcade vs. series, Marvel Super Heroes VS Street Fighter tries to fix some of the flaws from its previous title X-Men VS Street Fighter.
Where X-Men VS Street Fighter had every character basically able to perform infinites, Marvel Super Heroes VS Street Fighter tries to balance the game by trying to remove some of them which backfires.
From a casual standpoint, this game is still fun as it introduces Capcom characters that were not in the previous title, as well as bringing back characters from previous games such as Children of the Atom, and Marvel Super Heroes.
Enjoyment: 5/8
Replayability: 1/1
Graphics: 0.5/0.5
Sound: 0.5/0.5
Total: 7/10
