A fun match-3 puzzle game that featured all sorts of Sega characters. I played it during the last nine months or so of its life and genuinely really enjoyed it. As the game wound down, item drops were multiplied, resulting in 999 of whatever you could get from the stage. This let everyone fully upgrade every character before the axe came. That dialogue between Death Adder and Cream the Rabbit has one of the hardest comebacks I've ever heard.

Not an amazing game or anything, but it was a fairly enjoyable match-three game while it lasted, with an extra sprinkling of SEGA fanservice on top.

The art style could have been tweaked a bit, though. The anthrophomorphic characters from games like Super Monkey Ball and Sonic the Hedgehog looked just fine, but any human characters that originally had realistic proportions such as the ones from Golden Axe or Yakuza just looked wrong in this game's art style. I still see SEGA Heroes Goro Majima in my nightmares sometimes.

Also, for some ungodly reason, they never added even a single Puyo Puyo character into this game. Not even a single reference to that series. In this puzzle game. The opportunity was right there and they completely ignored it. Why.

This Game wasn't anything special but it was one of my favorites at the time and got me into many amazing SEGA titles, kind sad that it tos

I had a phase where I was just 'SEGA'
