Sparky Marky is a mascot horror game that I had heard about for about a year now, but just never got around to it. I finally did, and, it was a bit better than I was expecting, being honest.

The best thing is the ''quality'' in the game, because there certainly is good environmental design, and you can tell the people making this are good at modeling out monsters, and designs, and it looks like it was made by a team that have experience.

The gimmick is a gun, which has now been done a few times, and there also was a part of this game where you had to join its Discord server to complete it, not anymore though.

Besides that, the game's very boring, probably on the more forgettable/boring side of Mascot Horror, and not egregiously bad, but, certainly below average.

And, the monster of Sparky Marky is just not a good monster, its overly cute, and while that is fine, that character just doesn't work in a horror environment, characters like Huggy Wuggy did work for me, because they looked like actual toys, but could look menacing as well.

The same doesn't go here, the design just looks extremely stupid. Especially with his little cape on his back.

Overall: 4/10

A well-made, if relatively formulaic indie horror game. Despite a fairly linear experience- not to mention a painfully abrupt ending -my friends and I had a remarkably good time experiencing the eerie ambience.
