Possibly my favorite game ever, this trilogy is the best

One of my GOTYs in 2022 and the long awaited trilogy ender for one of my favorite series ever this is probably one of the best action rpgs ive ever played
really enjoyed, this games cast and insane story
gameplay is generally really addicting

In terms of story and writing this game far exceeds the other Xenoblades. The characters are so fleshed out and realistic it genuinely shocked me. It still has the shonen vibe we all love about Xeno but the characters are just better. Gameplay does drag on a bit in my opinion, I got tired of it towards the end but it help up for that long still so it's not bad by any means, but it lacks compared to XC1 and 2

this game has been stuck at the back of my head for a good year now and comes to the front of it in the form of ashera. that being said its a good game

Easily my favorite cast in the series and the dialogue/banter is on point. So many troll moments that I wasn't expecting (we f***ing love you Shania and Ashera). Some noticeable flaws keep it from getting 5 stars, the battle system is fun and I liked playing around with different classes but it gets a little stale by the time you get to endgame content which XC2 was better at I fear... I'm glad though there are still a number of upgrades from the previous games though. The hero quests were honestly my favorite part of the game and the standard quests are almost peak like XCX.

A game that I love so dearly, this game takes everything thematic the series has done and culminates it. Even down to mechanics, artstyle, archetypes and environment design, this game understands being the finale to a trilogy.
My main complaints about this game is that the combat system isn't as tightly knit as 2, with keves arts being less fun to use due to timer recharge. Secondly, I find myself conflicted on exploring in this game, sometimes it's just as fun as 2 if not more! But other times it falls flat with derivative locals that at times aren't remixed enough. The last major complaint is how at times the story loves to leave out important narrative tools that you cannot tell by playing. Even Future Redeemed didn't answer most of them.
That being said, I stand by this game being a magnificent end to what started in 2010

this is like the Schrodinger's cat of peak, sometimes I feel like its childish and cringe as fuck and sometimes I think it was good, idk man

Took the best parts from the previous 2 games and made a masterpiece

A história desse game aqui eh loucura viu, maluquice.

Honestly great game. Wasn't a fan of the combat at first but it eventually grew on me. The story is top notch, so much that I was ready for the game to be over by chapter 5. Overall, if your a fan of story games, this is a great pickup

6/59

Monolith Soft was crazy good with this one. Put this in the hall of fame of peak JRPGs

Xenoblade 3 is the first game in the trilogy that I can recommend without reservation. My 8/10 might not seem appealing to some, but I promise you that I have high praise of the game, it's just a death-by-a-thousand-cuts type of situation that drags the number down.
In fact, I truly don't want to spoil any of what Xenoblade 3 has to offer, just a few general things to know are great if you've read my other two Xenoblade reviews.
For one, the chain attack has peaked here. It was very good in 2, but it unfortunately tied to blade gacha mechanics, and Rex as the Aegis driver makes it very easy to abuse. IYKYK. In Xenoblade 3 however, you are given MUCH more to control and information in how a chain attack will play out. There is still an element of RNG, but it's far more manageable than it was in 1, and slightly more manageable than in 2. The chain attack is awesome and you will have favorite party comps.
Secondly, micromanaging is actually fun here. To not spoil too much, you are given a lot of freedom with how you want your party to look. If you're for some reason reading this without having played Xenoblade 3 yet or are looking to replay the game and didn't like it too much, I urge you to play around with a certain tool you get fairly early on. It can be kinda obtuse, so don't be afraid to look things up to get your party the way you want it.
Xenoblade 3 is great. Still plagued by things like the overworld being too big, but absolutely worth the experience in the end. Definitely one of my favorite ARPGs.

Xenoblade fucking Chronicle 3... this game is peak fucking fiction. I love this game so fucking much. Its music, story, themes are all fucking perfection. The gameplay is definitely the best in the series and with the amount of custimisation. i dont think ive ever enjoyed this much customisation in combat in a game like ever. also... HE HAD SEX WITH ALL THREE OF THEM????!?!?!?!?

After this replay I think as of right now this is my favorite game ever made. It’s a work of art of such a high and constant quality the likes of which I haven’t seen almost anywhere. I’ll carry the story this game tells with me for the rest of my life. Always move forward towards the future where we all can flourish. The future is ours for the taking!

Gameplay was ok, but the story made me actually cry real man tears

This is still one of my favorite games of all time, and is so great on a replay after knowing what’s coming. I really loved revisiting this game 2 years after launch.

Funny enough, this replay began back at the end of 2022, but I kept stopping early on. I played through all of Chapter 1 in 2022, a tiny bit of chapter 2 when the Pyra and Mythra amiibos dropped, then finished chapter 2 when the Noah and Mio amiibos dropped. Date noted as the start date is when I decided to fully focus on replaying the game from start to finish.

I will say though, NG+ has a few issues that does make the game a bit less fun. While it’s great having all of your heroes transfer immediately, I feel significantly less inclined to experiment when I already have a very consistent set up for chain attacks already.

Though on the other hand, Origin is a little bit of a slong, being 3ish hours long. In NG+, it was nice maxing out my characters and being able to just ignore all enemy encounters to make it go faster

Also, already mentioned above but the story still hits super hard for me. One scene in particular is one of my favorite scenes in any video game ever, and it got me to tear up watching it in game with full context again.

While typing this, I’m still watching the final cutscene and god what a perfect ending to this game. This game is a 10/10 and everyone should play it. GOD I WANT XENOBLADE 4 NOW

I love this series and this game is really good but personally the story just wasn't very compelling for me. Its taken me so long to complete it. Love the gameplay and landscapes but its just got a bit boring!

Xenoblade 3 stands out from the previous two games like no other. The story is grim and goes places I would never expect a Nintendo published title to go. It's incredibly fleshed out, and the music is probably the best its ever been in the series. As far as the main characters are concerned, Noah and Mio blow Rex and Shulk out of the water in terms of depth and interpersonal character relationships. There's a bunch of settlements throughout the game that offer their own mini-stories, and aside from a few stinkers, they're all fantastic. A common gripe I see is the quality of the villains, and while I agree they aren't as deep as Torna or as charming as Malos, I think its by design when you realize what Aionios actually is at the end of the game. If this was the last Xenoblade game, I would not complain.

Finally Xenoblade Chronicles is good again after the dumpsterfire that was the second game.

Maybe doesn't quite reach the heights of the first, but it definitely stands alongside it. Some of the best characters in the entire medium.

SPOILER FREE
I finished Xenoblade 3's main story. I do have a lot more to do but I got all heroes, did all main characters side stores and 3/4 of the side quests.
Lot of post game clean up but I feel like I need to make my review because this game is something special.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is everything Monolith Soft learned in their years of making the series and welled so tightly together to create genuinely the most perfect mechanically Xenoblade game.
They fixed EVERY single issue I've ever had with the series. They sorted the bad blade system, the combat, the compass, the party amount and important side quests not being locked behind awful trivial fetch quests.
I can't believe how tightly tuned this game is. This is the best Xenoblade to PLAY. It feels awesome and all the quality of life improvements will make your gameplay experience be nothing but fantastic if you've played the others.
Gameplay wise, this game is a 10/10 for this franchise.
However we all know that plot is what carries us in JRPG's, so what did the plot do for me?
This game basically mixes what they were going for in 1 and 2 and blends it all together. Xenoblade 1 felt really twist heavy. It had a lot of gasp moments and really set up the world. Xenoblade 2 had less twists but a lot more social commentary.
The third game absolutely blends both with twists and commentary on life in general.
I really enjoyed the plot a lot. It really connected and soldified at the end. For a while, I was worried where it was going but by the end of it, it all clicked and broke me.
I don't think I've cried that hard in a video game ever. I physically couldn't hold back the tears and it felt so guteral. A game that can make me do that, is a game I will forever cherish.
Overall in terms of plot, if you're into any JRPG's this one hits perfectly and yes, you do need to play the other two for this one to work. It is 1000% a trilogy and I'm glad they stuck the landing on that.
Shout outs to the voice actors and music as well. The voice cast is brilliant in this and somehow less aggressively British. They don't feel as jarring as the first two even though they grew on me.
The music is god tier. Best in the series in my opinion. I can't get enough of the battle themes. They slap in every single way and no one can tell me otherwise.
My only downside to the game is it's side quests. This series just can't get this right. There are hero and side stories that are fully voiced like Blade quests in 2 but they make up maybe 30% of the quests. The rest are mostly fetch quests. Collect this and dump this many resources you don't have over and over.
They're not fun and sadly this series suffers a lot in it's emphasis on fetch quests and repeated resource dumping quests.
However please do play all hero and side story quests. The amount of context and awesome content that is locked away that actually changes your view on characters and the world.
In summation, I love Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Though it may suffer in it's side quests, the rest of the game is the biggest improvement of the series. Making this the penultimate Xenoblade and a perfect ending to the trilogy as well as featuring some of my favourite characters the series has made.

Too long, but the story is really interesting, makes you connect with the characters, and has a lovable cast.

this game and its music are my whole personality

There are not enough words to describe the efforts of the developers who put their soul into this game. The message is quite simple and at the same time not so one-sided and requires complex reflection, several of the topics are just about humanity and we are talking about: “What if we lived only 10 years and we were forced to forever fight with each other for thousands of years in endless rebirths without giving other choice”, “Why do we even live?” or “What makes us choose and what to do if there is no choice at all? I don’t have an exact answer to the last two questions, and there will never be a correct answer.

If we consider the narrative of the story itself, it goes quite smoothly. Instead of learning about the world through some side or additional quests, as happens in the usual jrpg and rpg, you get to know it through the main characters in the process of passing, fortunately there are 6 of them and each with their own character. The characters have that same sparkle that makes them very alive, in the voice acting, in the text, and even in the models. There is a real mixture of views in the dialogues, because... 3 characters from one of their “worlds” and the place where they were born, and others from their own. Initially, they are united only by a common goal, but over time, they find a common language within the framework of close interaction with each other (and very close and it’s not what you thought).

The mechanics of this role-playing game are combined with the jrpg genre, into which mechanics from mmorpg were sewn, where there is a tank, damage dealer and healer, the number of classes is quite large and they can be changed at any time outside of battle. A special mechanic that allows you to inflict “a lot of damage” or can save the entire party a second before death is called interlinking. Our characters have absorbed a certain crystal, which allows them to turn into a fairly large inhuman machine called Ouroboros, but this is only possible if two connected characters did it together at the same time.

It was a very enjoyable adventure within 60 hours in this universe, I will definitely finish the first and second parts.

P.S. It's all a dog's dream.
P.S.S Just a joke.

P.S.S Шутка.

This game is so good. The music, the characters, the story (for the most part), and the world being a fusion of the past two is so cool and awesome. Villains were okay (big step down from Malos IMO) except for N, who was really cool. I liked the party and most of the heroes, just wish tanks were good. Play this game now! Kaleidoscopic Core made me tear up ngl

While it doesn’t have the gripping story of the first game or the kinetic gameplay of the second, Xenoblade 3 excels at being very good at everything it does. A love letter to the fans.
