I've tried to play this, but...
For some reason, the "cutscenes" are SOOOO slow. There's like a box of text every 1 minute. So trying to ready the story became a no-no for me.
Not that it really matters since, well, this game was confirmed being non canon. So the story is kinda useless, at this point.
For a game that came out in 2018 on modern phones, this game is optimized like shit.
The gameplay is rather bland, but I gotta say, it has some interesting concepts (like the fact you can find items in every level to literally throw on your enemies, like in the main games).
And the art is ugly, no point around it. Like, the background and UI are cool, I like them a lot (Kamurocho as the background for the main menu? Sick!), but the characters... Listen, you can't just out hyper realistic ugly male portraits next to anime waifus. It just... doesn't work.
It was like looking at an #uglybastard hentai.
It's a shame because the game had a lot of original characters that could have created an interesting worldbuilding and a very good soundtrack, but... Yeah... Yakuza should just stick to being a console game.
