The game that laid the blueprint for my favorite game in the series. A great campaign, fun multiplayer, and distractingly bright gold guns to show off how many headshots you got. Amazing memories
The best Call of Duty games hands down. Anyone claiming MW2 is wrong. Those people are the reason COD is so fkn braindead and bad now a days.
The ending keeps you playing the sequels.
Definitely worth playing, completed about 10 times back in the day. My childhood game. And that Chernobyl part, I had goosebumps every time I played that part and called my brother to help me ,what a game.

I put it on too hard of a difficulty and it took me an hour and a half to clear on area

The true beginning of the COD series as we know it. Not to knock prior games (they're all fine), but COD 4 is such an impressive feat. So many FPS games I've played and loved can be traced back to the blueprint this one left behind, which is amazing to me. It also helps that to this day, the game is still a banger. Two thumbs up, play this one or the 2016 remaster.

I already talked about this series when I evaluated Modern Warfare 2, unfortunately when I started to play I made the wrong order, so I first pressed 4 then 2 and only then 3. Of course I corrected that very quickly and pressed in order to better understand the story. All recommendations, if you haven't played, start right away!

I honestly think this game is better than its successor. It was so groundbreaking at the time that it broke the hold that Halo 3 had on me.

I remember playing split screen with my friend on xbox 360 going knife only on shipment omg so nostalgic. Pretty good campaign too.
Its crazy how this game feels quaint now. Definitely the best campaign in the series.
Amazing campaign and the start to the best COD series.
I played through this game on hardened and at times, it did not feel like it. After Act 2 however, it felt like there was a massive bump in difficulty.
Overall the story was interesting, the levels looked great, the characters (like Price) were very likable and the music was EPIC. I love the music so much. I can't wait to play the next two modern warfare games.
I'm not playing this on veteran, I'm sorry. I think I will hate the game if I tried! 🤣
