I had a Frostpunk itch, and this dlc really hit the spot for me. It was just as addictive as the main game for me. The way you had to manage your work places' safety levels and manage your workers' motivation/strikes instead of having to deal with the cold (well at least for most of the DLC) was a really nice change that kept things fresh. It still was really challenging, and I kinda want to say that I found it even harder than the main campaign, well at least towards the end. I had lots of fun being the worst boss ever.

This DLC is very good! Managing workplaces, security levels, strikes, dealing with cold and hunger makes the game very interesting to handle.

They really weren't holding back when they made this DLC. It's like a whole game on its own. They almost could have called this Frostpunk 2, though it would definitely be a lateral move instead of the full evolution that the actual Frostpunk 2 seems to be shaping up as.

The Last Autumn shakes up the core game's mechanics in interesting ways, most notably by almost entirely ditching the temperature mechanic that defines Frostpunk in large part. It sounds like a game that revolves around temperature management ditching the temperature management for the DLC would be a huge mistake, but they pulled it off by introducing enough new conflicts and factors to keep things interesting.

If there's anything that holds it back a bit for me, it's that it's a little on the easy side as far as Frostpunk goes (though I see plenty of people felt the opposite, so I won't hold that against the game — beating the main game and the Fall of Winterhome scenario right beforehand may have over-prepared me). I finished the main objective a full 10 days ahead of schedule and knocked out all of the bonus objectives too with plenty of time to spare. I don't think the game was prepared for me to run things so efficiently because I had nothing left to do for the final 5+ days and ended up just leaving it on fast-forward until the ending arrived. Not an exciting note to end on, which stood in stark contrast to the main campaign and the Fall of Winterhome scenario that both had nail-biting finales. Still super fun and engaging, and an extremely impressive display of ingenuity to reconfigure the game's systems into such a drastically different experience.

Without a doubt the best DLC and the one that stands out the most and made me rage quit several times due to the enormous difficulty, many impressive variations of the normal game that ended up leaving me much more attracted than I would have imagined.
