Just like the main game, this was amazing, the story was great, the characters were great, the music, as always, was great, and also, the little armor styles you can get that're references to other PlayStation titles was also really cool.

Samurai batman fights mongolian scarecrow on a pretty japanese island

What a cool addition to an already great story. I enjoyed it immensely.

It took me a while to get around to this after playing the base game, but here we are. Iki island is a side story that further explores the protagonist's backstory through the memories of his fathers death long ago. It's a touching narrative in terms of how their strained relationship slowly unravels through flashbacks and visions, which bring Jin's unresolved inner turmoils to the surface. It doesn't really change much in terms of his character going forward, but it's a nice layer for the sake of depth. It's all about perspective in this story, and I liked it.

Iki island is nothing you haven't already seen in the base game, it's essentially a new island filled with more of the same content, and tougher enemies to fight who are able to switch combat styles on the fly, forcing you to adapt your fighting style in a moments notice.

It's fun that they gave your horse some upgrades, but in terms of new abilities.. that's all your getting, I mean Ghost of Tsushima is already an awesome game, and one I was happy to revisit with the PS5 upgrade, upping the FPS to 60 and improving the lighting, this island is beautiful to track in... though I will critique them for making the upgrade and the island separate purchases...

Honestly that's really all I have to say, Iki island provides a decent challenge and some new areas to explore, but offers very little in what I consider fresh and unique content, it's just more of the same.

It's a decent length though and side activities will only further extend your game time. This was a good time overall - 7/10

This new locale is great, but the main world is far better to explore.

me the son of butcher of iki and my father's murderers fighting the same enemy? ummmm.... awkward!!

it's fine i guess just more of the main game really (for better or worse). it's funny how everyone tries to gaslight Jin into thinking HE is the reason his father and countless people died like dude he was 10 years old?
one thing to note is that it spoils the ending within the first 15 minutes and cuts access to fast travel for majority of its runtime so DO BE AWARE !!

it’s an excellent personal story for Jin Sakai with accepting what happened not being his fault. i’m not sure why the users on here are so against it, it’s not trying to setup anything crazy new here. it’s a story of overcoming guilt and a lovely environment to explore. new mechanics and tales to enjoy. fits Ghost of Tsushima wonderfully. It sure is more Ghost of Tsushima! I don't really think this added anything that the main game was lacking, but it did introduce hallucination sequences where you slow walk through a scenario that isn't real. That should be illegal game design. Did anyone really think that what Ghost of Tsushima needed was an annoying villain calling you on the radio every 5-15 minutes? The personal story for Jin also didn't really go anywhere, and the revelations were visible from miles away. This one should have been reworked.

esenşıl far cry 2 çekirdek

An excellent expansion that dives deeper into the mind of Jin Sakai and expands on the gameplay of the base game.

Bonne zone

since my original ghost of tsushima review i've 100%ed the main game and have started, beaten, and 100%ed this dlc too. i definitely wasn't as invested in the story here as much as the main game but it's still good and retains the most important parts of what made the base game good -- the insanely cool presentation and fun gameplay loop

Entertaining expansion with a much more morally complex story than the main game. Irritating how it locks your regular levelling up, there are lots of small things here I couldn't do as a result.

Nice to know about Sakai's backstory.

-----

Easter Eggs

Japan's breathtaking nature was recreated in GoT in such exhaustive detail, that after completing the main game I thought there was nothing left to explore about it inside a videogame in this generation. I was wrong.

Didn't like the story that much ngl

Good because the gameplay of the main game is really awesome.

I liked the story but it was very short.

Overall was a bit underwhelming and I didn't feel motivated to explore outside of the main quest.

Iki Island offers an extension to Jin Sakai’s saga with a deeply personal storyline. An essential expansion for those craving more of Tsushima's beauty and intrigue.

Predictable story, and whatever new additions

A serviceable expansion of the main game, but not really stand out can't miss content the way that The Ringed City, The Old Hunters, or Phantom Liberty are.

Iki Adası DLC'si oyuna büyük yenilikler getirmemiş. Fakat içeriğinde bulunan yeni düşman tiplemeleri, yeni görevleri ve gelişim sistemiyle beraber, ana oyunun hikayesini detaylandıran bir hikaye barındırması DLC'yi oynanmaya değer bir hale getirmiş.

This is the type of DLC that makes the main game even better.

I wonder how they are gonna make the sequel.

God this was exhausting. They somehow managed to distill everything bad about the main game into a small bowl of poison. Only improvement is that there’s no forced stealth sections but then after 30+ hours in the main game I’m so tired of the combat too. Literally rolled my eyes at the ending. For a game that touts itself as having a Kurosawa mode the camera work is some of the worst ive ever seen! There’s literally better composition in TikToks!!! I’m so glad to be done with this game.
