symptomatic of ME3's lame ass mission structure and level design for the sake of more combat but truthfully I'm not even a lover of Jaavik at this point despite the astronomical significance of having a literal surviving prothean. feels weird that a mission like this was ever DLC instead of properly intergrated because what the fuck lol
Javik really feels like content that was ripped out of the base game for money, because he was. Nowadays it's basically impossible to not get From Ashes included with ME3, but at the time this really soured the game's launch. Javik himself is a very unique character and feels far better integrated into the crew than either Kasumi or Zaeed in ME2, but being ripped from the base game also leaves some of his moments feeling disconnected from the events of the game. Business decisions really hurt the potential of this one.
