Officially just finished Halo 1 for the first time
well not technically since the final cutscene crashed the game so I didn't get credit for beating it so I had to watch the ending on youtube, but it was a fun game (and unlike Reach had an actual story).
Definitely felt a lot sloppier in the second half, especially with how much content they reused, rooms being copy pasted like crazy, and the level design wasn't the best (for most of the game but especially in the second half) but the final few levels brought it back to being great and as a person very nostalgic for early 2000's shooters I had a real good time
