Superliminal falls short of being a great puzzle game, but is a surprising and novel experience I absolutely recommend.

Over the 3 hour run time of the main campaign, a handful of brilliant puzzle mechanics are showcased, all quite different from one another. The one thing they have in common is being about perspective. Unfortunately, most of these ideas aren't explored much before the game moves on to another. Not only that, but they rarely come together to create more complex challenges.
This makes the game feel a lot like a tech demo. The number of different mechanics seen and the amount of times my expectations were subverted did make for a good time however. It had me saying "WHAT?" out-loud in awe more than any other game in recent memory has. I love the visual gags the game had too.
