The maskmaking process is the highlight. Meticulously coloring and adding different accessories is pretty cool. The mechanic got a little old near the end, so I was happy it’s a short 5-6 hour experience.

Other cool moments where replicating the poses of the statues to unlock each tower and doing the two simon says dance sequences.

Where the game falls short is its story, which is hard to follow along with. By the end I couldn’t tell if I was the apprentice or the maskmaker. It’s told in a vague way. Also I was let down that you couldn’t interact with many objects you see in the world, ex: drums couldn’t be hit, not many things to pick up, animals couldn’t be pet, etc. Things you’d expect from a vr game.

Still a fun and novel experience with some caveats.
